A lot of fans from other fan bases can't resist being trolls. TomHaverford, ant80, whatever that Florida guy was...they either start out as trolls, or they just let their egos get in the way eventually and start shitting on everything. I'd like to see more posters from other fan bases come in, but there's not a lot of reason for them to come quite frankly. We did have that USC princess that was here for awhile too. She never got banned, just disappeared.

I think the Bama guys have never really needed to be disrespectful or egomaniacs because, well, they're at the top of football right now and everyone knows it
Yeah this is what I was thinking. They are so dominant that we are their soft spot for a plucky team that can’t hurt them like Boise always used to be for me.

USF…that fucking double weather delay monstrosity
I was there for that too...went back after both delays... was there for the Bush Push too, Syracuse '09, Nebraska 2000...Seen a lot of magic too though, so I'm not all bad luck. I'm lucky vs. Michigan, been there for all the wins this century and the only loss was the 2010 fluke when Crist got knocked out for half a game. I was there for the Pitt comeback in 2012 and Stanford. UCLA in '06. Tennessee in '05. Utah 2010.

Syracuse was there. And the 2013 Oklahoma game where Tommy spotted em 14.

Don’t worry before I was in the student section, my losses included Air Force, Tulsa, and USF. No wins.
Air Force in 1996?
I was on the winning sideline on that game.
Broke my heart growing up a HUGE ND fan, with my first season watching locally on TV (way before the NBC contract) was as a kid in ‘86, Holtz’s first year.
After that home loss to AF was when Lou Holtz decided his time at ND was up and told the administration in the tunnel afterwards.
I never knew that story, then decades later Lou Somogyi told me in a private conversation.
Then in 2002 I was visiting the Academy as a guest mentor & sat in the AF student section wearing ND gear when undefeated ND beat undefeated AF, 21-14.

Eh...the first one came on a loose ball after a blindside hit. The second was on a tipped ball off Jones' fingers, it was just a bit out of his reach. Weren't really poor decisions, just bad luck.

Both plays back to back:

A few years back the Irish had this highly talented LB. He was so talented that many times he ran himself out of the play. You see, while talented, he never really took the time to understand the game. What I am trying to say is… don’t be that LB.
Who you talking about?

I was also back at the 2006 game in Colorado Springs when ND blew out AF.
But I was there because it was the FIRST TIME IN NOTRE DAME FOOTBALL history that wore a decal on their helmet, the Jolly Green Giant decal of the AF special operations rescue squadrons, in honor of the 12 special operators who died in a training mission, one of which was Notre Dame assistant coach Bill Lewis’ son, who was an Air Force Academy graduate.

OU ‘13 was my first visit to South Bend. Luckily got to be at Norman in ‘12. Though sadly that was the same night James Harden got traded away from the Thunder.

Tom would only show up when Mythigan did something good on the recruiting trail or beat somebody of note. Then disappear when Mythigan struggled. But I give him credit… when he went nuclear he went all the way. Didn’t take but a few posts for the ole ban hammer to finish him off.

Anyways back to KK. Some Bama “insiders” are expecting another commitment this weekend but I doubt it would be Keeley. He doesn’t strike me as having the character to decommit and then commit to another school the same weekend.

Thank you to the longtime posters for keeping this thread sane...to the "newbies" some you need to take a course on recruiting 101.

After reading some of the last few positive posts on the visit to Bama I think Keeley will stick with his commitment. I think MF and staff still can finish with a top 5 class and their message is clear to this class that they can make a difference at ND & bring a national championship there. This class seems to be tight with each other and they are buying into Freeman's message.

He had a good final season. Can’t take that away from him.
Wiki tells me Bilal was on Raiders prep squad last year and currently a free agent. He went to BD so as a hoosier I find I am always very biased in favor of the in state kids. And his last year really put it together enough to still be sniffing around the fringe of the nfl. He was a mid to upper mid four star that mostly played box safety in high school. So his career pretty in par with expectations really.
