I remember that same frustration. Accepted by Cornell, Vandy, ND, and Berkeley...rejected by UC Davis, UCLA, USC...I think admissions sometimes just plays dizzy bat before choosing lol

That's bizarre considering they were the easiest school to get into and had a 29% acceptance rate 20 years ago.

You serious? I got accepted to Purdue with a 3.2gpa and a 1100 SAT back in ‘92. I harbored no illusions of getting accepted to ND. This was when 1210 was the minimum acceptable SAT at Notre Dame.

Some schools will just do random ones. Not getting into Marquette when I was accepted into all similar Midwestern schools (SLU, Butler, Dayton, Xavier, DePaul, Loyola Chicago, etc.) was a weird one.

I was accepted at each school I applied to except Virginia Tech……they said they were not accepting any more out of state students which I thought was an odd reason.

I had a classmate frame his ND rejection letter. (He applied knowing he had no shot at being admitted.)
