I think folks having trouble with the in and out math are double counting kids. If we take in 25 kids in a class, we are not losing exactly 25 kids + portal entries in 4 years. Some of that class has already left, some are taking a 5th year. Smaller example, Kristofic may transfer. You wouldn’t say we lost him to the portal thats one and his class graduated so that’s two schollys lost. We also aren’t losing Quinn Carroll this year he’s already gone and accounted for.

It’s not class in, class out.

the guys on IB podcast yesterday during the bowl selection show said that there would be several irish players entering the portal or just being off a scholarship for a time due to freeman and staff cleaning house and some that need to get grades up in the classroom

It says we are at 83. I don’t really know which is why I’m asking. I don’t know who is graduating and who is sticking around and who is leaving through the portal or NFL. It seems to me we will have some roster holes though in any case.

I still feel the number will be closer to 15.

I’ve seen two leave for the portal so far. MM is definitely gone to NFL. Between graduating and underclass men leaving for portal or NFL I could see there being holes. If we are not even at full roster now hard to see us getting there but I’m ignorant which is why I was asking someone to explain it yo me. I didn’t know about the Max class size per year not being a issue.

I can that but I feel like with our incoming class and the quality of it some of the lowere tier players might hit the portal. Like our RB room is crazy stocked. Hard to not see someone transferring out.

Side note Syr had 17k in attendance at Yankee Stadium for this tussle. Not a good idea for Syr cto move your home game there.
We’re playing Army there next year in the Shamrock game (rumored). We’ll do better but is this the way to go?
