Uh, I don't care about rankings: WANT

He has a Q face, which makes me hope he develops into similarly nasty player.

His dad was an All State lineman for New Prairie back in the day, has been on New Prairie's staff over the years and is also the Cougars' wrestling coach. Hunter wrestles which is always a plus.

A friend of mine who was a college lineman and officiates in the area says Hunter is probably the best big time prospect in our area he's ever seen when you consider his age and physical package. And that's going back to the early 80's.

Not saying he’s wrong, but David Perkins was a man amongst boys in 2011-2012. 6’3”, 225 pound RB/OLB don’t grow on trees around here. Too bad you couldn’t keep his mind right.

How is he going to get down to 285 for wrestling?

I saw him, he was one of the best no doubt. My buddy made this statement after one of his games last year. He was taking into account where this kid was as a freshman compared to what he saw. Whitenack's put on 30 lbs of good weight since then.

How is he going to get down to 285 for wrestling?

Great question. HE's gotten a lot bigger since last season and I think he was maxed out then. He's trim for 315.

If he's 315 now, he looks like he could play at 350.

Aldridge was a 5 star top 50 player so if your friend it right, this kid has to be impressive.

Eugene Wilson was the best player I ever saw in the region. He couldn't dominate a game b/c teams simply didn't punt to him, throw to his side of the field or challenge him in any way but man was he an unreal athlete. I remember walking out to practice, I was like 15, and a group of us just stood there like pubeless morons watching this freak show run routes or field punts completely amazed that a human being could move the way he moved. Great kid too.

Good for him. Bielema gave him his first P5. Cincy offered last summer and Chip remembered him from camps. He made it to state in wrestling and I think he was undefeated going in.

So what I'm trying to say is... he's not gonna be a PWO.

He wrestled at 285. Have to question is he really was at 315lb. That's a lot of weight to drop, especially going from FB to wrestling in such a short time Lost in the semi-finals of semi-state, then lost in first round of state to a kid from Franklin Central. Ended up 39-3. Nice record.

Wow. Good for him. And good for Illinois, too. I hope Bielema shakes things up in the Big Ten with recruiting.
