EXACTLY!......I'm not cool with pulling scholarships but continuing to recruit other players you want IS NEEDED if we want to continue to move up into another TIER

We either want the staff to recruit at the highest possible level to close the gap or we don't. The staff didn't force him out because the optics would be terrible but I'm sure the staff was honest. They should be honest to every single player on the roster as well: "We are always searching for best players to take a starting spot"

I liked Jack but I'm sure he'll find a great spot and the staff will hopefully pick up the highest rated guys they can to replace him.

It appears that ND is going after better rated TE's, Nickel could've been apart of a 3 man TE, and he didn't want that. I was surprised when he committed and thought to myself there has to be better TE's out there (and there are). He will be fine and he will land on his feet.
