Always confused when people say the optics. From what POV? Kanu? Us, ND fans who follow recruiting? The rest of the country?

With how young Kanu is, the way Elston develops DL, and Kanu’s background, I wonder you almost evaluate this with the 2023 #s in terms of roster construction. Development wise he could fall in line with that class more than 2022, regardless of reclassification.

Based on no info but what appears in this thread, I suspect that ND was in his Top 10 before they offered; but the lack of offer meant they didn't get into the Top 9 graphic he tweeted.
