Revel from ECU and BMo despite being injured this season are probably going to be the third and fourth CB taken off of the board after Hunter and Johnson. There isn't any reason for him to return.

Some of the takes here are bird cage liner. FFS.
The only way I could see him returning to college is if he isn’t healthy enough to show at the combine or pro day.

On3 has a list of 3 year players who have declared for the draft and Ben Mo is NOT on it. Deadline was 1/15 but ND and OSU players have another week to announce.
Why wouldn't Ben Mo not announce as he is not playing?

To not be a distraction and still be a part of this team in whatever capacity he can? I don’t think there’s much advantage for him to declare until after the game.

Ryan Roberts wrote an article and basically said it would make sense for him to come back basically saying he honestly should. Article says he is leaning towards declaring but there is a lot of concern around Morrison on the NFL Level. Concerns about explosiveness and play strength even before the injury. Only thing is if he does come back you will have to rotate guys around. Guys like Gray and Moore aren't going to be backups.

Yeah. None of our guys have announced plans to enter the portal or the draft and I don't think that's an accident. They probably want to be as all-in as they can right now, and that's admirable. We'll see what happens next week.

As for BenMo, it's tough. Even before he got the hip you could see his draft stock slipping - he's just not very big! - and, while, maybe he could elevate it by coming back next year, maybe not. And then if he does come back, what about Grey and Moore?

He likely won’t get a 1st round grade but what’s another year in college going to prove that a good combine couldn’t overcome? That’s assuming he’s a full go after rehabbing from hip surgery.

Really hoping he comes back for our sake, but the idea he was slipping is ridiculous. He's locked up tier 1 NFL starters on multiple occasions. At a certain point you start to sound like those doubting Kyle Hamilton because he ran a 4.5.

He's the best cover corner I've seen at ND ever.

Did Roberts outline how coming off injury, back at college would improve his explosiveness and play strength?

Sounds like more to lose than gain, those things likely won’t improve dramatically, certainly not off injury

The reason we want Morrison to come back would be entirely selfish to it would help ND, not some argument it helps his draft stock

He is a phenomenal cover corner, no doubt. But he's small and now has had two significant injuries in a year. I can understand why some teams would be wary. But if he slips and some team gets a steal like the Ravens did with Hamilton, OK.

Two significant injuries and has tape of being a poor tackler. I can almost guarantee you he's not going 1st round this year. If he wants to be a 1st rounder, showing a full year of health and being a willing tackler is the route. He has elite man-man skills and that's the hardest part, just has to add health and tackling.

This will have 0 impact on where he gets drafted.

Yeah I don’t think I’d want my team spending a 1st on him with his injury concerns / size. / tackling ability. At the absolute very least he’ll be an elite nickel, but I have a hard time seeing him being elite outside in the NFL.

He would be a good depth piece if he came back

if he comes back he isnt starting over gray and moore (or at least shouldnt be). Id argue if he were to not go to the NFL he should transfer and take a payday from the SEC and a guaranteed starting spot

How quickly they turn lol.

Morrison 100% starts if healthy

Draft grades currently range from 13th best player to 52nd best player with an average of 26.8. 1st or 2nd round draft grades.

Corner tackling is a big deal in NFL and has caused players to go higher or lower. You have to hide poor tacklers in the NFL. Maybe you're saying he's a good tackler though, and if so I'd respectfully disagree.

In what world should he not start over Gray? He's had some major game changing plays but he's hardly a lockdown CB.
