man is he going to be good.....lower ranked initially and then all of a sudden started getting the accolades and exposure...really really impressed by this guy...sounds extremely well spoken and looks like he is just going to be a freak of nature out there

Yea, he's going to be really good. He plays with a lot of pop. Explosive young athlete.

I think the staff got exactly what they wanted. 1 really good LB and fit in this class to fill in and compete with a bunch of really good LB's on campus, that have a lot of eligibility left. 22' cycle will be about getting some numbers to fill in the depth behind them. Though I expect those guys to also be really good, lol.

Losing Clark might make this a more difficult thing to keep, but I think Prince seems like a definite ND type of kid. Just need to reassure him that he fits here no matter who his coordinator/position coach may be.

I would assume the staff is going all out to try and keep him. I'm with Beau in thinking that no doubt Prince might be a disappointed that Clark is leaving but ND is the right fit for him. Just time for other members of the staff to show him that. The tough part though is due to game prep, there won't be an announcement of Clark's replacement for a few/several weeks. I really wish this announcement came after NSD and I'm really surprised it couldn't be held until then.

I don't think there's much historical precedent for that. I'd imagine Lea would, if anything, be recruiting him to Vandy now.

First thing I thought was Lea would sincerely tell the kids to stick w/ ND commitment for all the obvious reasons. Vandy isn’t a threat b/c it’s Vandy. He knows that & so do the recruits..

yea plus I don't see anyway he does this to Kelly the first year.....maybe down the road, but it'll have to be somewhere besides Vandy that he can sell. I'm reminded of Kirby and Saban battling it out for some dudes. that is comparable schools, which Vandy and ND are not in terms of football.

i think Kelly has said this in the past but you recruit the kid to notre dame - not to the coach or whatever. Do those other things have an impact on their decision, no doubt. but if you sell the kid on ND, then you have better chance at keeping them when things like this happen.
