He said Gray wouldn’t dress for the game, which wasn’t true.
He said Gray was ruled out, which wasn’t true.
Gray practiced all week, warmed up for the game & was the starter right up until they left the lockerroom right before kickoff.

I really do hope it's not a suspension, because there's nothing easier in college football now for a guy who's in the doghouse to simply transfer elsewhere at the end of the season, and in this case we're talking about a guy who would be our best/most experienced DT next season.

Right now, as we sit here, there are a dozen ND players in the same situation Gray was in that week. Almost every game this season there have been a handful of players in that same situation.
Tomorrow, a majority will play (because they have to now), and a couple won’t.
That’s not a Christian Gray pre-Louisville thing. It’s a college football as the season goes on thing.
Many players are hurt, & they are game time decisions. Some play initially & them pulled, like Evans many weeks.
Gray was supposed to play then see how it went. Last second they decided not to risk it. This week he would be playing.
Student managers & other students leak stuff out every year about a kid being banged up. It’s the norm, not the exception.
A dozen players are practicing lightly this week like Gray did that week. And we will know tomorrow which ones are green lighted.
