Billy Greene with a CB for the Buckeyes. Really, really need to get him back on campus with Buchner ASAP. Billy also reported he will take some visits this fall

have not felt enough conviction to enter a 247Sports Crystal Ball forecast for Styles to date as I've always seen this coming down to a battle between Notre Dame and Ohio State, and until recently I was hearing the Fighting Irish held a small lead.

As Buckeye fans have seen often since he was named wide receiver coach nearly a year ago, assistant coach Brian Hartline has been absolute money as a recruiter. From what I was told this weekend at the Pickerington Central scrimmage, my thinking is that Hartline will strike gold again and land Styles.

I have gone ahead and placed a 247Sports Crystal Ball pick on Ohio State to land four-star wideout Lorenzo Styles Jr.

He also has a brother who is 6'3 who is a varsity freshman this year and I guess is just a ridiculous basketball player with elite athleticism as well. Was dunking with ease as a 8th grader last year

COLUMBUS, Ind. — 247Sports and Irish Illustrated were on-site Friday night for the Pickerington (Ohio) Central vs. Columbus (Ind.) East high school game Friday night.
The 247Sports spotlight was on class of Central four-star wide receiver / defensive back Lorenzo Styles Jr., one of the top two-way athletes in the class of 2021. Although he didn't get a ton of touches on offense, he played every down on defense and showed why he's a terrific athlete, as he locked down one side of the field all night long.

Andrew Ellis CB to ND. I am not buying this. This has to be BS right?

Maybe they're hoping for some progress out of the visit?

Decision could come shortly after this visit. He'll have visited OSU and ND in back to back weekends. Confidence has been growing on ND's side of things for awhile now. Both ISD and II have been saying that ND is in a good spot.

Is it possible we wrap up Styles and Colzie post-USC visits?

Wiltfong posted that a decision will be made shortly after this visit for Styles and Loy seems to think Colzie could make a decision soon as well. Colzie seems less likely to me but that's JMO.

The more highlights I see of Styles the more I like him on CB than as a WR. Don't get me wrong I think he's a very good WR but I think his upside might be even better as a CB. Reminds me a bit of Minkah Fitzpatrick.

Even if he does pick ND, and it is even next month he decides, he could just as easily decommit. I will be skeptical until he signs on the dotted line.

You could say the same about every kid that commits. If he chooses ND, he'll have done a tremendous amount of due diligence on both schools. I don't see this being any different than anyone else.

I think it is just a gut reaction given his pedigree and family. Something with this one doesn't feel right. I have a better feeling about Colzie (who is from Athens, GA) sticking to his potential ND commit than Styles.

I worry more about the kids that commit out of nowhere, before they've blown up, first visit to campus, etc. Styles has been recruited by both schools for a long time. He's taken multiple visits to both schools. Is actively involved in building relationships with commits from both schools. If he decides ND is the place for him to be, I'd take it similar to that of Chris Tyree.

If we have a two year run of Johnson, Watts, Brunelle, Styles and Colzie...... WOW

Agree. Get another high end RB recruit to go along with Tyree and we should be humming. Buchner (or Pyne) leading that collection of talent on offense would be insane.

Loy is being somewhat cryptic with his ninja emoji which is what he usually does when we have a silent commit. Unsure if that was for Pryor or if him and Wiltfong have heard this likely ends this weekend. If we keep getting the CB flood through the week, that probably means good things. Especially if we continue to get more Ohio guys doing so.

Fong with the crystal ball. I’m assuming this will be wrapped up this weekend if not already.
