Notre Dame suddenly listed with 'Warm' interest on 247, along with scUM and Ohio State.

He's probably a backup plan for OSU from my understanding, so scUM might be the team to beat right now.

Curious as to how hard ND is pushing for two RB's in the class, and if Rees and Taylor can flex enough to get two studs like Shipley and Kiner together.

(For those that care, which is only me: UC is a legit player in this recruitment, but it's going to be hard to overcome the big dogs in the end.)

Me as well. Just thinking through it right now, I think we have 1 more year where we could get by with only 1 elite or really good RB, say if we were to land Shipley. But then it makes it almost imperative that we land 2 in the 2022 cycle. And since you never know what's going to happen, it's difficult to plan that far ahead. This might be the year to do it. Strike while the iron is hot.

I am sorry.

I forget that because of your preference for Gold Star. I totally blank you out as a Cincy guy at that point.

In all honesty, I think my allegiances have changed. I haven’t been to Gold Star in probably a year.

And why is a guy with a StL logo in here talking chili.

The Cincy Greek's have already preached the gospel regarding the topic. Shut down the thread.

Roger Bacon, I got ejected from a high school basketball game my senior year there(embarrassing moment in life). One of the worst refs in the city was doing our game and called one cheap foul too many and I was jawing a bit too much after being warned. We were getting blown out and watching Jamie Mahaffey(Miami U) dunk all night on us. I don't have fond memories of that school. We took them in baseball, though.

I live in Cincy, dawg. My bowels have earned the right to talk chili. But I grew up in MO and I will never deny the Cards.

Lion probably isn’t even Greek. He lives in NKY!

I’m a transplant!

Born at Christ Hospital. Raised between Delhi and Westwood. My grandpa was born in Cyprus and my dad’s last name is one of the many variations of “Cristos”

The only active member more Greek than me is GK, and NO ONE is more West Side than me.

Give me all your gyros and Cincy chili.

Had chili for lunch and I'm heading for some souvlaki right now PLUS was married to a Christakis whose family is from Cyprus.

You are very West Side. Do you have more than 8 teeth in your head?

Dude ‘21 would be the third cycle in a row where we say “We’re ok with one RB just gotta take two next year.”
Eventually you have to take two in a class or you won’t have any damn running backs.

That’s why he moved to KY. Eight’s a full set in the Commonwealth.

I was shocked and amazed upon moving to NKY to learn that the biggest hillbillies are all in the West Side of Cincy lol. Not quite as many people shirtless and shoeless in the river cities of NKY as there are among West Siders.

Well, you can only address numbers when the numbers get low. Unless you want them kicking guys out of school.

Well, you can only address numbers when the numbers get low. Unless you want them kicking guys out of school.

Clemson has 4 RB's returning and picked up 2 more in this class for 6 total in 2020.

ND has 4 if Jafar stays at RB and Avery stays at DB. Tyree makes 5.

I don't support kicking guys out of school but recruiting over them when searching for production is something you have to do sometimes.

ND needs to find another back to go with Shipley (jinx) in 2020. Someone like a Michael Drennan out of this year's class... who I would still offer and take because he can find his way to the field as a RB or WR.

The thing about RBs is that you need a *minimum* of 4 on the roster at all times and they are one of the position groups most likely to go early to the NFL. Ergo, if you're not taking graduate transfers at the position, you really need to aim to sign 2 per class. It's OK occasionally to take only 1, but you get in a bad spot very quickly is there is unexpected attrition.

I take it he's still at RB? lol

Uncle

Well, it would be relevant. If he is, that puts us at 6 just like your example in Clemson. I think they go for 2 in this class but numbers aren’t an issue for 2020 or 2021, as it stands now.

Avery was huge in our last drive against Virginia Tech as a pass-catcher out of the backfield.
