Late sixth? Good on him. I'd kind of forgotten he was in the draft, TBH. One of those who got personally hosed by the playoff snub, and never really got a proper sendoff.
He was a warrior in the 2024 playoff run when Mills got hurt, and I'll always respect the way he came back from whatever was going in his life when he left the team for awhile. I feel like injuries kept him from quite reaching his full potential for us, but he always battled and I'm sure he'll do the same in Pittsburgh.

When the guy was healthy he was a beast. Great motor but never overplayed. Really added some size over the years in a good way. If he had stayed healthy 100% we would see him going in the 4th round. Steelers is a great place for him. Stay healthy and dominate.

Fun fact... Rubio's father, Angelo, was also drafted by the Steelers in 1998 (221st overall - Gabe was drafted 210th) Like father, like son. Pretty cool for the family.

Don't the Steelers run a 3-4? Seems it would make sense in that instance.
