after being projected as a high first rounder, I wonder how far he drops in the projections by the draft “experts” who did similarly to Kyle Hamilton, JOK, Kyren & Mayer?

Depends on any movement that occurs in the draft via trades, along with all the evaluation by the teams drafting in the first round between now and April. Feels like the "experts" know less and less about what these teams are actually going to do than ever before.after being projected as a high first rounder, I wonder how far he drops in the projections by the draft “experts” who did similarly to Kyle Hamilton, JOK, Kyren & Mayer?
tbf even though its early a lot of media folks are high on Altafter being projected as a high first rounder, I wonder how far he drops in the projections by the draft “experts” who did similarly to Kyle Hamilton, JOK, Kyren & Mayer?
Of course…right on cue. I know the NFL is different than college & not everything translates but look how they downgraded guys like JOK & Kyle Hamilton who are thriving in the NFL & would be the envy of any defense. Too early to tell on Mayer & TE breaks into two categories IMO based on need. There has been some scouting reports that have seen Alt's length as a downside to his ability to play left tackle. That he may not have the true bend and flexibility to be a left tackle. I must admit, I haven't seen that and I think it's farfetched, but I haven't watched every single snap of Alt over the last two seasons.
There is a small sense in the scouting community that he is more McGlinchey than Stanley.
Right. Stanley, Nelson & McGlinchey going top 10 proves that point. You left out JOK though. LB are high value & he was undervalued to say the least. I know the Browns suck, but he has been great this season. The difference between Alt and the rest of those ND greats is that Alt plays a premium position. Safeties, RBs, and TEs are all relatively low value and this is evident in how teams draft them (usually).
LB is not really a high value position either, very few off-ball LBs are picked high in the 1st round and let's not forget that JOK had a medical flag (that he denied btw) from the Combine.Right. 7. Tennessee Titans
Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame
The Titans would be jumping for joy in this scenario. Will Levis has shown that he could possibly be the long-term quarterback answer, but Tennessee needs multiple new starters along the offensive line to protect him. The Andre Dillard signing hasn't worked out, so left tackle is a huge question mark for whoever ends up as the Titans' new coach.
The 6-foot-8, 320-pound Alt was the most impressive prospect I saw out on the scouting trail this season. He has shown continuous improvement each year of his college career, and some scouts believe Alt -- who allowed two sacks combined over the past two seasons -- is the most well-rounded blocker in this class. Penn State's Olumuyiwa Fashanu could also be the move here, but it shouldn't come as a surprise if Alt is the first offensive tackle off the board.
Team needs: OT, CB, WR
He'd be such an upgrade play-wise and moral-wise to Taylor Lewan (I know he retired but he was there for years).
Bears at #9 had better not pass on him if he is still there. If he ended up on my Jets I'd be ecstatic but it's an outside chance he falls to 10th overall.

The Titans’ offensive line was in shambles this past season. As the rebuilding process begins, Alt could protect Will Levis’ blindside for years to come.
Just a massive all-time bum. He'd be such an upgrade play-wise and moral-wise to Taylor Lewan (I know he retired but he was there for years).
So you believe in Fields? I still don't really know what to think about himBears trade down and get Marvin and Joe.... Grand slam draft if that happens
I believe the bears have more issues than QB and I believe they aren't likely to get that any level more "right" than fields so id rather they improve the whole roster than continue to draft average to mediocre QBs and have a shitty roster around it.So you believe in Fields? Agreed with this. Fields won't ever be the best QB in the league, but the roster holes on Chicago make him seem much worse than he actually is. I hope they make it seem like they want Williams so they drive the trade price up, grab a few studs and get another round one pick next year.I believe the bears have more issues than QB and I believe they aren't likely to get that any level more "right" than fields so id rather they improve the whole roster than continue to draft average to mediocre QBs and have a shitty roster around it.
And after seeing Caleb Williams play against ND, he's a punk. Talented, yes. I feel like he has bust written all over him - when a potential number 1 overall talks about getting an ownership stake....that's just an over inflated ego.Agreed with this.
