Good news with Donovan Edwards is that he did meet Lance Taylor in person last December. Downside is he's never been to a game at ND which is always an experience. Hopefully he can come back to campus for a dead period visit and maybe meet some of the recruits. I'm pretty hopeful after hearing Loy's comments on his recruitment. UGA already has a borderline top 100 recruit committed for 2021 and their depth chart is loaded (SR 5* James Cook, RS JR 5* Zamir White, JR 4* Kenny McIntosh, SO 5* Kendall Milton, SO 3* Daijun Edwards, FR 4* Lovasea Carroll). Oklahoma likely has Camar Wheaton close to committing to them which would give them a 5* RB recruit and hopefully knock them out of contention. That really leaves Michigan and Notre Dame and I'm hopeful ND can beat out Michigan!

How about Rocco bring him to town for our last home game?? even though there will prolly be no fans allowed in the stands by then

Thanks for the rundown. If it really comes down to UM vs ND you have to like our odds.

We are all Rutgers fans this weekend. JJ McCarthy has been holding their class together with toothpicks and fairy dust. Hard to believe that holds if they drop to 1-4 with a guaranteed beat down at the hands of OSU looming.

BK and Coach Taylor addressing early PT:

"You're going to see the field as a frosh, count on that. Kyren is likely gone after next season, so you're going to see the field a TON as a soph. Also, Ann Arbor is a dumpster fire. What jersey # you want, son?"

Wish it was that easy.

Seriously. I can say for certain, I've never cared more about Rutgers football than I do this weekend.

With regards to the Edwards recruitment, I agree. I think he's always been looking for reasons to not go to ND and UM.

With regards to UM dumpster fire, no way, it's a party. Haha.

what you really want is Harbaugh to still be HC at early signing day. You don't want him to be fired/leave and then have recruits be attracted by his replacement

Understood and agree.

It's funny how I used to get sick when it came time to see the ex's family. Same premise, just a more "acceptable" excuse these days.

Possibility to ponder - Harbaugh is obviously a competitive person, right?...who we all think has a screw loose somewhere upstairs. Wouldn't surprise me if he goes low (out of spite Michigan Man) and starts either not giving AF or anti-recruiting if/when he sees the writing on the wall. Just spit balling a bit but we've already seen rumors of disconnect between the Admin, so not out of the realm of possibility.

There's a lot of that going around.

Saw this on mgoblog. Sounds like good news. The quote is from Christian Dixon.

"I feel like (Donovan Edwards) is in the in the state of mind, where I feel like he’s late in this process. I feel like most recruits we have a school in the back of our heads. So, I feel like he already has that school in the back of his head. So, he’s waiting for the decision really. I feel like with Donovan there is nothing we can really do to per sway as of right now.”

Nice find. Over 90 responses currently in the thread. Just one mention of ND.

Personally I think the school in the back of his head has always been Michigan. But I do think he is holding his cards until he sees how everything shakes out. He's mentioned he wants to join a class with ballers. Maybe he's waiting to see if anyone else (Wright, Cooper, or Rooks) joins the class. Or maybe he is waiting to see if we will be able to flip any commits we lost (Benny, Dillinger, Spindler). He could also be looking at other schools that he honestly would rather go to but may not have a spot but a decommitment or flip could change that (OSU, Georgia). Maybe he really wants to go to Oklahoma and is waiting to see what Camar Wheaton does.

Realistically I think Michigan is the back up choice to OSU, Georgia, and Oklahoma and depending on what happens with other RB recruits interested in those schools will make a decision. If everything that is trending right now happens (OSU RB class fully booked up, Lovasea Carrol stays with Georgia, and Wheaton goes to Oklahoma) I think Edwards ends up in our class. The biggest likely road block I think is Wheaton. Obviously doesn't feel amazing to be a consolation prize but as long as he signs on the dotted line it doesn't really matter.

Lots of Ohio St chatter. Then Georgia and Oklahoma.

Near 9:20am blog posting time, finally someone says “ I noticed a lot of ND fans crowing about their prospects to get him.” And there hasn’t been one reply or any thoughts on it. Just right back to Harbaugh, their RB futility history, and other schools likely to get him. NOT named ND.

Is this going to be a surprise like George Washington crossing the Delaware river, winning the Battle of Trenton, and turning the tide of the Revolutionary War?? For our fans and theirs...

Lol in that quote at the idea that Michigan could flip Rocco. That's a good hearty laugh to start the morning
