There have been plenty of Mother's and parents that prefered ND, but ultimately left it up to their son, which is what any parent should do as long as they see their son is looking at everything before making a decision. Having said that, I fully supported Tuitt's mom for stepping in and overruling. lol

Didn't Kory Minor's mom also make up his mind for him, something about being able to buy him a coat because it was cold .. I'm sure someone here knows the story.

flip side is theres been kids at ND who simply never behaved or acted like they wanted to be there in the first place

I think the comment was, when he said it was cold there, his mom said I can buy you a coat. I can't buy you a Notre Dame education.

Some people definitely think we are. Apparently, he didn't love his visits to some of the southern schools and we've been recruiting him hard since the decommitment.

For him to pick someone like Tennessee at this point would almost be a self-fulfilling prophecy that it wasn't going to work out in the long run for him at ND, whereas if he picks ND everyone will say it's like Tuitt. The narrative will write itself. Regardless, given our situation at WR, I'm very much so hoping he hops back in the fold.

I'll take Styles, Colzie, Thomas all day. Thornton I'd still push for too but he seems like a long shot.

If, as Loy says, this is a Tennessee/ND battle, I'm very comfortable saying we win in the end. If Georgia or Bama get interested, they'll win. But Tennessee we can fend off.

If they are able to land him, major kudos to Rees and Alexander. They kept recruiting him hard while most thought he was a lock to stay south.

I've always liked ND chances with Colzie recommitting, I also like ND's chance with Thomas. Thornton will be a harder pull. If we get all 3 with Styles that would be a heck of a haul for WR's.

Tennessee has definitely picked up their recruiting the last couple of years. I assume they're going the Ole Miss route.

I think Bama is still chasing after Brian Thomas. If they miss on him, which I think they will to LSU, I think Bama still stand pat on the three WR's they have committed already. Georgia just took a 3 star commit at WR. They still need help at the position and one would think they would get Colzie in the fold but it just seems like they are not as interested or maybe they feel they can slow play him.

Just watch, Buchner will show up on campus slinging it side-arm and waste all this talent coming in around him.

Would love to re-land him. If he doesn't end up ND, I'd rather him go to TN than one of the other SEC schools.

I mean seriously, who in their right mind would rather go to TN over ND? TN hasnt been even decent in football in years, much less academics. Makes no sense.

They're definitely trying to claw back. Top 10 in recruiting rankings the last 2 years, and top 15 the last 3. They'll never compete with academics, but only one SEC school comes close. They do have a huge fan base, great stadium, and rich donors. Purely my opinion, but their biggest issues has been horrible coaching choices since Fulmer.

And hot chicks with a twang.... can't forget that.

I feel like TTT was very politely stating what the word down south is- the top schools see 3* guys that they prefer over Colzie. I don’t mean to put words in his mouth but I had read sometime back that schools were flat out passing on this guy or at least had him lower on their boards. I still feel like he should be a take but I would be interested to know why they are so low on him.
