I have no idea if he’ll stay injury free, but you know Tommy has and will discuss and coach when to slide or go out of bounds as opposed to trying to get an extra yard.

Also, he’s been in the system a year and has playing time under his belt, he should be comfortable. I expect him to perform quite well barring injuries.

Buchner and Freeman have 1 thing in common- their true first test as a ND QB and a ND head coach.

Ohio St. will be a tough test, for me I've told myself I need to look past that, & ND could surprise people.

Since this is Buchner's thread- I've read all the great things about him, it is time to show on the field his potential.

Tyler has that competitive fire. He wants to be the best. I just hope his brain doesn’t write checks his body can’t cash.

With our o-line run the ball and pass to Mayer and Styles and the occasional go route early on while he works on things.

Not sure I am ready to under estimate Tyler’s passing ability. Kid threw for 4,500 yards, completed 67%, 53 TDs with just 6 ints in HS his junior year. He throws very well on the run which can make him very dynamic combined with his running ability. He had more passing and rushing yards as a true freshman last year than did Bryce Young the year before for Bama. Not saying Tyler will win the Heisman but betting he will be much more than the current expectations seem to be from the “experts”, so called.

The legend starts today!

Was watching the Sandlot with my daughters (6 and 8). This scene came on. 8 year old goes, “Dad, he’s the coach in Cinderella Story,” a mid 00s Disney flick with Hilary Duff and heartthrob Chad Michael Murray. My 6 year old says, “No, that’s the Tooth Fairy from Santa Clause.” So I say, “No girls, that’s Chick Gandil, first baseman for the 1919 Chicago White Sox.”

TL;DR—Art LaFleur was the man.

Ok. Imma say it. TB12 will put up great #'s this season. Might be mentioned in Heisman talk. Hmmmmm.

No italics. I am turtle.

25 TDs, 10 INTs, 9 rushing TDs, 62% completion percentage.....would we all take that? (I know I would)

Anyone else listen to Tim Tim and Pete on the Irish Illustrated Pod today?

Prister doubled down on his now infamous comments about how Pyne appeared to look better last Friday during the full practice viewing. He "used stats" on the pod today to back himself up. He said Tyler was with 1s going against 1s and Pyne was with the 2s against 2s. They both were playing at the 10 yard line.

Pyne was 10 for 16
Buchner was 5 for 12.

Let the panic commence!

Easy solution, we just bring Pyne in when we are on the 10 yard line and it's 3rd down.

From maybe pitching in relief to being Buchner’s best friend on the sideline. It is good to hear QB2 having a good fall after a tough spring. Pyne deserves many good things and we are lucky to have him. And dear god please let Buchner be our football messiah

1st practice, nothing against our Defense but, I think the Gap between 1st & 2nd team especially in the DB/DL is decent & with Buchner being told to not utilise one of his best assets (feet) imagine working against our 1st team Defense.

I think it’s good, he’s showing that his going through his reads & instead of taking a sack his getting rid of the ball & playing smarter

At least 30 TDs, 7 ints, 12 rushing TDs, 65% completion percentage.

Should be do easy enough, it’s only 2.5 TDs per game, would expect some big TD games against Marshall, UNLV, Stanford, Syracuse & Navy
