There’s talk by “Touchdown Alabama Magazine” that TB may end up being fourth string.

Essentially, Alabama’s got a lot of interest in developing Lonergan, their current fourth-stringer, and they are working him in and providing him with more and more reps.

Time will tell.

Agree, but one type of mistake loses to marshall, the other you can beat a pretty good michigan team with.

We're also talking about passing. Buchner is athletic, but wimbush was on a different level with running ability.

Bottom line, I had high hopes for both in High school, my hopes for buchner went away in high school after he made his changes. My hopes for Wimbush went away after Ball State.

I don't wanna break any rules but there's really not much ground breaking. Just multiple observers saying he's throwing it into the dirt a lot and looks generally flustered in the pocket.

Keep in mind things can change and there was conflicting reports that he looked very good. But the consensus was he was passed up by both the contenders and now even the true frosh.

Over the weekend Saban said the competition was just beginning but hinted that a pecking order was developing. Essentially his way of psychologically messaging to the QBs that it’s up to them to show him who the starter should be. My money is still on Simpson (if I was a betting man). Buchner will end up 3rd or 4th in the pecking order.

No, but such a risky transfer would have been an extra dumb idea if he can't grad transfer this winter.

I couldn't help myself. looked it up, and found that the add/drop deadline at Alabama is August 30th. So there's still some time to load up on those credit hours...
