I really appreciated Hartman and Leonard. It was pretty cool to see their individual experiences with ND and the spotlight of being the starting QB after 3 or 4 years elsewhere. They seemed to buy in and not let the hype get to them.

Leonard really bought into this place, man. You could tell he loved everything the University had to offer.

- Leonard didn’t graduate from Duke or ND it sounded like? Was a theater major at ND. We don’t play school!

I looked up his 247 profile and came away baffled; this is why recruiting is so strange. You've got a pro-bowl QB's son playing in the deep-south, who is a composite 4-star player, who has a grand total of 5-7 offers, depending on the service.

It's reported offers. The Rivers are super quiet about his recruitment and he hasn't himself reported any offers. I guarantee he has over 30 offers.

Most of the offers on 247 are the offers the recruit posts on Twitter, which Gunner isn't doing

I don't think he has nearly the arm talent to be Josh Allen. I his ceiling is more of a Jake Plummer type QB. I think more likely if he wants to have a long NFL career, it will be as a journeyman backup like Josh McCown.

With his size, strength and athleticism, I think his floor is Taysom Hill, personally, not Kiser. I don't think there's any doubt a team could take a flier on him and use him as a gadget type player, who always possesses the threat to throw.

The question is whether or not he becomes a more polished passer and raises his ceiling.

I love it for him, perfect place to develop for an offense that’s gonna fit his strengths. He’s could absolutely be a Taysum Hill type player for the colts if they develop him correctly

I'm not sure I've loved another ND player like I love Leonard since Manti. I'm aware it's not fair to true ND, 4 year guys but it's true and I'll he routing for him harder than anyone.

So glad he went to a team without an established QB so he'll have a real chance at proving himself. I was worried he'd be drafted by someone like Philly or KC or whatever where he would be relegated to clipboard duty forever. He may not pan out but at least he should have a shot.
