Pretty spot on Notre Dame Football: Unfortunately, Riley Leonard’s Mom Was Kind of Right... I love this sentence from the post: But Freeman’s resume has pathetic home losses to Marshall, Stanford and Northern Illinois. Those can’t just be forgotten by finally releasing the Under Armour apparel he’s been keeping to himself. :ROFLMAO:

That was seriously one of the worst articles ive ever read by a halfway known ND site with a fair amount of traffic

Including Driskell

That was some hackey shit

Frame it however you want, Hartman took the reins of the team and knew what it took to lead, and even on the occasions he struggled on the field, he never appeared to be in over his head. He also was older and significantly more experienced than Leonard, fwiw.
Leonard may get there yet but he'd better do it soon.
Go re-watch last year's Louisville game. Sam gave up...

Hartman and Leonard were both voted captains.

I just find the whole portal culture to be very interesting. Kiser, Mills, Morrison and Watts I totally get. Nothing against Leonard, but he was here for a few months and got voted a captain with these guys? Same for Hartman (Alt, Bertrand and Hart).

Part of me hopes that Minchey or Carr finally works out. Having a dude who has been totally vested in your program can only be a plus.

Yeah, he had a good game. Its clear he gives the offense the highest ceiling right now.

Still a painful offense to watch every week. Take away his TD pass to Faison (wide open by a mile) and the screen pass to Love and you end up with a lot of ugly.
Take away 2 TO’s inside our 10 and we beat them like a rented mule. I love how some of you feel like it’s ok to cherry pick the plays you want to fit the argument you’re trying to make.

Take away UL's punt TO, and it's a tie ballgame.
ND was outgained by 115 yards on offense.

that's not beating them like a rented mule.

Give me a guy who goes out there every week throwing his body into 300lb lineman with a smile on his face. I'll leave the passing deficiency discussions to the part time QB coaches on here.

It's not even remotely sustainable. And if it was an even remotely efficient way to run and offense, why aren't there 100+ other FBS schools doing it? There's a reason the military academy schools resort to gimmicks like this - FAR INFERIOR TALENT. This is just sad for a blue blood like Notre Dame. You can bury your head in the sand all you want, but it's embarrassing and, quite frankly, exhausting to watch.

Either enjoy your misery or don't watch. I understand that message boards are therapeutic though.

He’s our QB. He’s not getting benched. We may as well accept him for who he is and embrace it.
Agreed…and I think most of us would have taken 4-1 going into the bye before the season started. It’s just obvious none of us would have ever expected how bad that one loss would look, and it’s hard to get out of everyone’s mouth.

Hopefully the offense grows a lot during the mini break, and the second half of the season looks much cleaner.
Denbrock needs to earn that contract!

Exactly where I'm at. My expectations are managed and I'm happy to see him not miss a wide open greathouse.

I didn’t get to watch most (radio) but they killed us in the box score. They have a lot of nice toys on offense I’d rather have.
