I would agree FIU competition is different vs ND, but asking for a 1,000 yard receiver isn't a tall task. ND has had playmakers before at WR.
The thing about getting 1,000 yards at FIU is it was 1,000 yards against the teams FIU plays.
Fwiw he had 6 catch - 157 yard game against Arkansas. He also was on a 4-8 team where he had almost 3x the yards of the next closest receiver - so while I can't claim to have watched any FIU games, I imagine opposing defenses were focused on stopping him

Seems like a phenomenal young man. Always rooting for him.

He is going to destroy some cupcakes with his athleticism but he will continue to struggle to complete passes and be efficient against better competition. Just who he is. Just have to keep hoping that on those days/nights the rest of the team can carry him through it.

Guess they don't cover not sucking in that Bible study. At least he talks.about Jesus in his post game interviews though.

Now that making the CFP is no longer realistic, I think they should call in Riley on Monday and tell him that they need to develop a younger QB for next season, ideally CJ Carr. Riley can maintain another year of eligibility and then transfer and play somewhere else next season. They should be planning for the future for the rest of the season.

Who gave him a potential first round grade? This shows there are people involved in evaluating talent who simply can’t. He can’t throw a basic five yard out cut.
Probably the same.guy who evaluated Phil as a potential #1 overall before his last year at BC.
