Eric Mensah DT for pOSU also hit the portal. I have no idea what pOSU's starting DT situation is, but evidently their fans are fairly concerned with their depth.

Don't know much about Mensah or Carter, but Carter playing 7 games as a true Freshman seems like he must be decent.

How many stud DTs did we retain?
Dumb. Look at the 2 deep and realize how much work the staff has done to keep their players in the program.

We're going to lose some kids because they don't want to wait their turn but our penciled in starters and 2 deep is almost 100% intact. With the exception of Burnham. Is anyone else even debatable?

And for those that can't recall, Jarquez Carter was an early target for ND in the '25 class. At one point, a few had him on commit watch.

If McDonald declares for the draft, I believe both of their starters will be gone. They got John Walker from UCF, who will almost certainly start, so they're after 1 more starter (Brewu or Smith).

Good chance osu loses their entire starting d-line...they have John Walker from the portal but I'm looking at them going after Smith, Russaw, and Wilson. They've been too quiet

That's nice and all but we need 2 starting quality DTs to compete for a title next year and it seems unlikely to happen at the moment

He's projected first round. Jackson might return, they have Houston but other than that...a lot of unproven guys. Plus with the exodus of Roy, Carter, Kirks...just saying they might look to bolster up their dline.

Important in regards to Onye

The NCAA says the reason they denied his request was because his physical ailment in 2022 was not documented, so they are implying that if he had the right documentation, they would have granted the waiver.

I'm assuming Onye will have documentation, but his problem could be that he played in too many games last year.

He had a tonsillectomy, it's a farce. But, with millions on the line I'd try too.
