You act as if players/human beings don’t have their own wants, needs, intentions. If a kid wants to be in a certain place, andddd make a lot of money doing it, then that’s what he should do.

Don’t be a whiny little bitch and assume ND isn’t doing all they can. Grow up
But in my easy mode franchise on NCAA 26 I land him 100% of the time, why does Freeman suck so much?

He has just as much if not more NFL hype than Fields and has done it against far better competition. You really thinking he is significantly worse? Don’t mock the bed wetting if you’re gonna be that dramatic
Yeah, I'm not sure what film he's watching. Strong looks like the type of boundary guy ND needs. They have Faison and Greathouse as the field and slot guys. They needed that big body contested catch guy. Marsh could be that, absolutely, but to brush Strong off as if he's significantly worse than Marsh when the film, the stats, hell even the dumbass portal ratings don't reflect that, is weird.

He was also doubled in certain games, making it easier for Faison to get lose. Fields was a nice player for us, man. I haven’t watched that much film on Strong. Just going by what ISD and some scouts on X said, but sounds likes he’s more of a flex than pure boundary/WR.

I didn’t say Fields wasn’t a nice player. Lax is saying Strongs is significantly worse and Fields is going R2. I disagree with that.

What game was Fields doubled at a notable clip?

I’m a bit bearish on our WR unit. Do we really just need one guy? I wouldn’t feel too comfortable trotting out a unit that largely consists of

Faison
Greathouse
Cam Williams
Gilbert
Bettis
Burress
KK Smith

+ others.

Correct me if I’m wrong/poke holes, but I think there are some question marks even if we acquire another WR, whereas a bonafide WR unit puts us as championship favorites.
I think you're ultimately going to see them take 2 guys. A clear cut starter at the boundary WR position and a guy like Will Pauling, who has experience and can play a little bit of field and slot in rotation and can push Greathouse and Faison for starting reps.

0/3 thus far on our top portal targets

wtf is our staff doing

This right here is the Christian gray issue. We’re spending I’m sure well into 6 figures for gray and we should have let him walk. Not worth a penny. Absolute BS

Telling a top corner we want him for nickel when he would clearly be our 2nd starting corner. Moronic

Matt Freeman just said USC is in the lead for Keon Keeley.

Lol this has been an epic failure for the portal thus far, when our coaches had more time than literally anyone and were "all in".

Yeah ok.

You don’t like Christian Gray? Have you expressed that at some point in the past at all?

One thing is
There's only 1 thing I hate about this TP loss... That it was to Chad Bowden... Damn it!
SC doesn't even have a DC. They were targeting Kwiatkowski but he looks to be heading to Stanford.

Maybe it's just a data point that schools are putting guys under the gun to sign on the spot or risk having their $$$ pulled.

Did Christian Gray fuck your mom or something? He’s CB1 at 90% of the programs in the country.

I'm not sure that would cut it if this is truly a revenge tour/all in/scorched earth type year. If this is one of those years, I think they'd need 2 solid starters.

Malachi Fields had 2 big games all year. Pitt and A&M. Both were because he made multiple contested catches. What game was he separating and showing off all this talent that Strong does not have?
Purdue.

Denbrock didn’t run fields deep much because he never took him off the field. I thought that was dumb especially vs Miami as he got singled. We ran moronic screens to him.

Keeley has been a big bust so far. Even though he's more proven, he'll get overpaid just like Mukam.

Honestly, that's why I sometimes post the not as high but with potential TP profiles, because IRL, it's hard to win in the portal against stiff competition.

Who knows what's going on right now, but it seems like getting the 2nd visit is risky (at least so far), but maybe the winning teams are way overspending, or maybe they're using the you'll have to play school / go to class, or maybe even, ND is not in conference and nobody wants to schedule them - You'll hardly be in any big time prime time TV games.

I have no idea what ND's staff is using at its approach but there better be a lot of due diligence and organization and strategy planning because the TP market moves FAST.

You can shoot for say Marsh and Ibirogba, and maybe you lose - even before the player visits - the player quickly to another team; did you already have research done and offer out for a next best player or two in that position (esp. if it's a position of need)? Because if not, the next best player or two are already on site visiting a team (if not already committed).

Throw in how tough this can be if you're in the CFP which - I hate to say it - is serious props to Cig and staff to pull off what they're pulling off. I do think since IU is more focused on the portal, they're likely spending more of their NIL / Collective $ on TP players and likely spending healthily. And, I think their AD and University and backers are on board and committed to it as long as Cig and staff keep winning.
(Hence, they do have contract review clauses to reward or punish Cig and staff depending on results so there is high rewards / high risk involved.

Where is the second guy starting at? Faison is your field and great house is your slot. You have guys like kk and burress to back then up and cam and Gilbert to back up the boundary

I’m far from a bitch, but we get a lot of smoke blown with little to show for it.

You’re citing the Purdue game where he had 2 catches. One was the deep ball so you’re basically citing exactly one play?

You are getting dumber, and that’s worrisome.
