Not to worried about Grubbs. He's still a very good quarterback. Seems like most of the drop in rankings is due a significant drop in passing yards from his Sophomore and Junior years. His OL has been very porous and the entire receiving crew is new. From watching parts of games, it feels like he's really only got one good receiver. Lake Mary had 30 new transfers come in.

QB is such a crap shoot going from High School to College. Fernando Mendoza was an 82 grade coming out of high school. We have no idea if we "definitely need a transfer". Grubbs could end up being crap. He could also be the same kid who lit up the field his sophomore and junior years. Who knows.

I'm sure the ND coaches are monitoring the situation. If they think Grubbs hasn't developed, I'm sure they would be looking for another option.

Yes QB projections can be a crap shoot; that said , 3 of the top 4 heisman candidate QB’s this year (Sayin, Simpson, Moore), we’re all 5* recruits, as was Carr

Where does Will Fuller rank on the "best athlete" list for ND?

I ask because folks are saying J Love is #1

But theres The Rocket, Tim Brown, Ricky Waters, Golden Tate...

And those are only dudes ive been around for

The difference in avg NIL $ is crazy too. Looks like ND is paying far less than all others on the list if true. Oregon looks ridiculous. Even more proud of this staff if this is the case. We’ve got more to offer and guys want to play for this staff.

Rocket > everyone in my opinion. He's the first domino in my love for ND football.

Me too! I met him when he was a senior in HS at the big 33 game, met/saw Ricky Watters the year before. I was 6 when I met Rocket and have been a lifer ND fan since.

Yep. For a true freshman not sure what else you can expect. He'll be seasoned enough with 2 more years. He was thrown into the fire with a shitty OL and I thought he made a lot of good plays on his feet.

I have no opinion on him potentially transferring in 2 seasons from now, but I don't think Saturday is a fair assessment of his ability. He ran into a buzzsaw and is a true freshman.
