It also helps that BYU was beaten soundly and without a question. If it had come down to a final kick or something it would be less effective us. Them getting stomped helps the cause much more.

Can one of our resident upper midwest residents explain how the Dakotas became the hotbed of FCS football? What specific advantages do they have that makes them consistently the best teams each year? I don't follow FCS at all so I really have no clue.

Combo of not many other FCS schools in the upper Midwest, place where you can develop talent, take risks on maybe some DII guys that can become FCS guys, and some other factors.
