Andrew Olesh is visiting ND for the FSU game. Also visiting Oregon and PSU in the coming weeks.
We don’t use the TE anymore apparently but it’d be a funny bit to steal Michigan’s TE for the second TE in our class.

not wanting Pritchatt but having another TE visit is interesting, unless they want him at DE, or they view Flannigan as a DE now (which many people think is his best spot)

Does Flannigan currently play DE?

Olesh is also as much wide receiver as he is tight end. He's more Pitts/Kelce/Bowers than Mayer/Gronk.

I often wonder if ND had offered Pritchett and Schott would it have even mattered. Like would the interest have been reciprocated?

247 has Olesh ranked 3rd among TE, Flanigan 7th, Schott 10th and Pritchett 15th. (Nate Roberts is 13th. LOL).

Another fun fact: Miami took a verbal from another TE before Schott and Alabama the same with Pritchett.

I'm not having to connect the dots here with what Denbrock is seeing. I'm going to trust it.

With the new scholly numbers, why not take all three?

Olesh and Flanigan are studs. That would be the best 1-2 punch at TE since Wright and Kmet. Maybe even better looking at their upside

You may be right. With as valuable as Wright is to the Lions, it would seem that his talent was somewhat wasted here, or it least not fully utilized.

I don’t know if passing on Pritchett is a mistake, but the last time we passed on a legacy TE that ended up at Bama was definitely a mistake (Irv Smith Jr.).
ND took Alize the year before. The following year, they took Wright and Kmet.

Maybe why they not only passed on Irv Jr. but on TE entirely in that cycle?

Kid's ranking doesn't make much sense to me. Elite offer list + physical tools. Sure he's raw, but the upside is so much higher than these other high 3 stars.

Big, strong matchup problem. Catch radius in the red zone makes him a great prospect alone.

He's in the vicinity of being one of the top ten WR in Texas and near the Top 50 overall.

Evans involvement has been increasing. Hopefully it doesn’t go back to the Mayer days where he was the only option (great as he was) so got 15 catches a game.

Hypothetically if we landed Faraimo, NOB, and Olesh (and no one else), this class would be the highest rated ND class since 2013, just to put things in perspective.
Small choir you're preaching to, but you're going to be on point with that audience regardless.

NOB took the visit to Primeland and liked it. Guess we'll see.

We're currently targeting (at least) the 7 below elite prospects. If we land 2 + another 3 star or 2, we'll end up with essentially the same team ranking as the 2022-2024 classes.

Faraimo
NOB
Wiggins
Meadows
Olesh
Davidson (lowest probability)

Can confirm with Schott that he was ND’s if they wanted him.
