That may have been the only intel from the presser.Ash will be on the sidelines
We’re two weeks out. The competition is all but over — it’s just not being announced.Still in a QB competition - no announcement.
Denbrock is great, and experienced enough to know how to work that room. But FWIW I think if he aspired to be a head coach he would've been one by now.Denbrock so ready to be a head coach, at least in the press room. He was owning that room.
Freeman looked tired.
Stellar group of coaches.
He definitely comes off as a meathead/hardo, but I think we’re just so used to the non-hardo dc over the last 7 seasons (Lea/Free/Golden) that it’s more jarring. With that being said, Ash seeemd incredibly pleased with the depth and it’s going to be really hard (if not impossible) to screw up the amount of talent on D.I dunno guys, I have such bad vibes on Ash. Guess we'll know one way or another in two weeks.
Anyone else a little nervous about Talich in coverage?Said all 4 safeties will play, didn’t answer who will “start” opposite Shuler

For a pro like O’Malley, I couldn’t believe that’s the first question asked of Chris Ash. Ash rightfully blew it off. Also, outside of one question on Onye, the only other question about DL was Hansen asking specifically about Chris Burgess, a guy who no one thinks is even close to seeing time this year. My kingdom for someone to ask about the fringe guys: Cole Mullins, Logan Thomas, Mukam, Elijah Hughes , etc.and now O Malley first question to Ash is who will win the RG spot
ffs

For such an elite program, they really are that badAlmost the entire beat is fucking worthless
Gerald Parker vibes is my fear.
White defensive backs make you nervous?Anyone else a little nervous about Talich in coverage?
Said the same when he was hired. His record is abysmal and that’s putting it lightly. Put Urban Meyer hired him twice (rolling eyes)!I dunno guys, I have such bad vibes on Ash. Guess we'll know one way or another in two weeks.
Dude, not even close.Gerald Parker vibes is my fear.
Yeah, he said the experience on D when he walked in reminded him of 2014 OSU....the national champs. That entire side of the ball is smart, deep, fast, and violent.
😆 Not Zibby or Harrison Smith!White defensive backs make you nervous?
They’re bad but at least they’re docile. Outside of maybe Prister having a grumpy day and getting testy, Freeman and Co. should be happy they can say what they want with zero pushback. For such an elite program, they really are that bad
He's always been a perfectionist. He was very blunt last year that the defense was kicking their ass in camp; It was a great unit last year and I hear this year's unit should be pretty damn good as well lolKind of disconcerting when Denbrock says they've been "shooting themselves in the foot" a lot offensively.
Personally I'm getting frustrated hearing this from coaches. How about dummy down the playbook so players can play fast? I mean is our playbook so much more advanced than everywhere else? We need these athletes to be useful on the field. The rules make it so simple to play offense now. Sorry I'm tired of this excuse and just getting old to me.
