I could be wrong, but I’m assuming our quarterbacks aren’t taking real hits in practice. That makes it hard to truly measure resilience, ball security, composure, and decision-making under pressure only show up after you’ve taken a sack or two and some hard shots on scrambles. Statistically, around 60% of first-time QB starters get replaced at some point during the season, so it’s not always easy to get it right. If Kenny can absorb the hits, stay healthy, and keep his composure, we might have a special dual-threat QB. His high school tape was outstanding imo, and his touch on deep passes was about as good as I’ve seen from a Notre Dame QB recruit since the early 2000s. The real question i have is how each guy reacts when a 290 lb DL pile drives his face into the field.
