Because it still comes down to BYU winning outright as almost a two TD dog.

I'm still just stuck on, why not just jump Miami over us this week? Miami looked dominant against Pitt in a high stakes away game. Why wait until we're both idle? BYU was always win and in, so it doesn't matter their relative ranking. I just think waiting to make the swap when we're both idle would be opening them up to way more criticism than doing it this week.

Because if BYU loses they can move Miami to 11 and then switch us.

- If the committee once again does not punish conference championship losses, ND is in with a BYU loss

- If the committee punishes conference championship losses, ND is in with a Alabama loss

- Where they could land in the really fucked scenario is they don’t punish Alabama for losing but punish BYU and then arbitrarily flip ND and Miami after saying for 2 months they aren’t comparable

About to drop a few hundo on Miami to get in at 9-1.

Ticket prints, will use that money to hire an airplane to fly over Hardrock Stadium next year with a special banner message.

All 40 people there will be shocked when they see it.

Ticket busts, my kids get a Christmas present better than anything money can buy: their dad not being a short fused crab through the holidays.

I understand that, but it would be with no new evidence that we are suddenly no longer better than Miami. If the belief is Miami is better than us, just do it this week. To swap us when neither played will be insane.

If the "pod" seeding is true, the current grouping is Bama - ND - BYU - Miami. BYU loses, Miami doesn't suddenly jump up above us in that grouping because our respective quality hasn't changed, only BYUs. BYU just falls behind Miami (if that - CCG results aren't really supposed to ding teams)

I don’t think it’s about the seeding. It’s about this: If BYU wins we are out, and if BYU loses MIAMI moves up and we likely swapped out. I think we are more than likely out right now.

It’s a tournament where we need to win (4) games in a row.
Seeding and the path to a championship is the most important thing that we personally cannot control anymore.

The #10 seed is a way easier path than #8-#9 seed in my opinion.

The committee has already compared us in the same grouping. We dropped below Bama bc of A&M losing & they enjoyed the Iron Bowl.

Yeah, that's true, but we're clearly one of the 4-5 best teams, imo. Need to move to a computer system. The justifications won't change week to week.

The fact that we are still in it now and have a real shot just shows that this BS about us having to join a conference is just that.

This is my hope too - and the movement among idle teams really just comes down to changes in SOS if their opponents win/lose and make their results look better/worse. So let's go Boise too!

We’re in a weird spot & the committee isn’t necessarily consistent in what they’re thinking/doing.

But it just comes down to Miami not being above us NOW.. If they can’t flip us now why can they flip us with a BYU loss?

Bama will lose & drop below us.

We take 9 they take 10 & Miami is 1st team out.
