Ole Miss? Why are they getting a free pass? Have you seen their schedule?
1. Georgia St.
2. Beat Kentucky by 7 giving up 23
3. Beat Arkansas by 6, giving up 35.
4. Beat Tulane
5. Beat LSU by 5
6. Beat Washington St. by 3
7. Lost to Georgia, giving up 43
8. Beat overrated OK, giving up 26
9. Beat South Carolina
10. Beat The Citadel
11. Beat FL by 10 with a late score.

Yuck! Why are they getting a free pass?

Would LOVE Mississippi or OK in a 7/10 game.
Honestly, I'd take any SEC team. They are all a bit overrated. Even Georgia, which isn't really all that different from the team we beat in the playoff last year.

Our ideal path is quite obviously 1) playing either Ole Miss or Oklahoma round 1 and 2) being on the side of the bracket away from Ohio State

Imagine Ole Miss followed by rematch with A&M followed by whoever comes out of a pod that has Oregon, Indiana, and whoever. Would be favored or even odds in every game.

Agreed. I think Georgia and A&M are the best of the bunch. All the others don't really scare me. Not sure why there is so much Alabama love either.

That would be awesome! I would take a #10 seed for that path any day.

Ole Miss isn’t that good. Their ranking is worthy…they’ve won the games, but their defense isn’t too good. They went all in last year on NIL and the defense. Kiffin is obviously great with QBs and offense, but this was supposed to be a rebuilding year for them.
There's really not much argument for Ole Miss to be ranked 4 spots ahead of BYU other than conference affiliation.

BYU's schedule is kinda ugly too. I don't see the impressive performances. Maybe TCU?

can someone explain the miami -6.5 vs pitt line.
My guess is that Miami is better across the lines. We got massive pressure all day against Pitt, so it will be scary of what Bain and Messidor do. Pitt can be thrown on and I don't know if they can guard Toney. Only 6.5 because it is at Pitt and 32 degrees and Miami hardly ever leaves the state of Florida. In fact, I wonder how many wins they have outside the state of Florida this year...

Looks like 1: @ VT this past week. That's crazy.

Oh yeah, I'm not advocating for BYU to be higher to be closer to Ole Miss, I'm saying Ole Miss is overranked and should be closer to BYU somewhere in the 10-12 range.
Oh, yes. I agree.

Ole Miss probably should be a couple spots lower, but they did beat Oklahoma and their resume is pretty similar to Oregon, so not sure who should be higher in their stead (us, of course!).

But it’s pretty simple for them. Win this weekend and they’re in. Lose and they’re on the bubble at best.

I think Miami would beat Oklahoma and Ole Miss. I think Vandy might too.

ESPN SOS rankings for other AP Top 10 teams include Ohio State (33), Indiana (39), Texas A&M (15), Oregon (36), Ole Miss (24), BYU (46), Texas Tech (58), and Notre Dame (23).

This may be current:

Notre Dame | SOS: 34 | CFP Ranking: 9
Ole Miss | SOS: 33 | CFP Ranking: 7
Tennessee | SOS: 31 | CFP Ranking: 19
BYU | SOS: 28 | CFP Ranking: 11

How the hell is OSU SoS at 33? Texas preseason #1 fell apart - 14-7 win there not nearly impressive three months later. The only Top 25 team they drew in the conference is Michigan who they haven't played yet. Current #16 Texas is the only ranked win at this point. Yeah they beat people soundly and TCB but they probably have the easiest B1G schedule in the conference. Illinois is probably their best B1G win. Defense has performed but who is the top offense they shut down?

Everyone knows they are a ridiculously talented, top tier team but let's not pretend they have had to prove it yet. As unimpressive as Michigan is, still might be the best team they have played since Texas (if not the best team on their schedule) - don't forget its a road game too.

No kidding. That schedule is trash.

I had to finally mute him yesterday, he's such a whiny bitch. It's obvious at this point that he's using it as his primary means of clicks/interactions
I've muted or just outright blocked dozens of Miami accounts at this point and a few BYU accounts, too. I'm tired of my timeline being full of the same exact complaints worded slightly differently.

Anyone who does the feigned shock thing is an auto mute now. *4 weeks into the rankings with the AP and Coaches Polls in agreement and access to any number of advanced metrics and analytics* "How the HELL is BYU out of it??" "How is Miami below Notre Dame? WHY EVEN PLAY THE GAMES?????"

Would love to see Pitt smash Miami but I’m sure that coach of Pitt will find a way to cock it up in the 4th quarter. No way Miss St runs with Ole Piss. Auburn isn’t beating anyone unfortunately.

Ole Piss will make excuses for losing 1st round as soon as Lane bolts for LSU but what do you expect?

Don't forget, Pitt's kicker looked like he was rushed out of a trauma ward. Guaranteed to be a lot of facepalm moments in that game in both directions.
