If Kiffin's antics costs them a spot in the playoffs...Ole Miss odds have slipped to -600.
Let's just say it couldn't happen to a more deserving university.

how convenient for the ACCSteelers play at home the next day.
The ACC gets no favors from the big conferences. Mean.I think the main thing with Miami is the committee doesn’t want to give the ACC two bids. Particularly a non ACC Championship game participant. It just makes no sense to “reward” the conference regardless of who Team #2 is
Cool! The late night game @Stanford next weekend will be good prep for a trip to Eugene this time of year.I’d rather play at Ole Miss or Oklahoma in the first round than at Oregon. But otherwise, yep.
The teams that feel strongest are Ohio State and Georgia. Let them, and A&M, beat each other up while we run over Bama and outclass Indiana. That seems fine.
You're not really this insecure... right? For one, I'm never quite sure what the point of posts like this are, that a ND board is full of ND homers? Secondly, my problem is not with the argument Miami fans are making per se it's:
A)the fact they do the whole feigned shocked and outrage bit after EVERY SINGLE FUCKING RANKING is released. Coaches poll, AP, and the CFP committee. It's the same song and dance.
B)they cloak their arguments in "integrity of the game" and "honoring the results on the field" concern trolling language but were absolutely not pounding the table for Louisville to be ranked ahead of them when Louisville had the same record as them.
C)if the roles were reversed the entire national punditry class would absolutely not be pounding the table they way they are now.
As for jprue's comment, sure we did, but how often did that work out for us? The "eye test" was a bitter pill to swallow when we were weighed down by BK's mediocrity, but yet every single time we were pounded into submission by eye test darlings.
And fuck it, it's ND against the world. We have no conference to take up for us. Ara and Lou ruined too many talking heads' dreams when they were little so they all hate us. Basically every other fanbase hates us to the point they're allying with fucking Miami lol. So yeah, fuck it. Whatever benefits ND I'm for. If the committee favors us, so be it, we've earned the benefit of the doubt. Every other fanbase can choke on it.
I'd estimate that 50%+ of national pundits think that ND should be ranked ahead of MiamiFor one, I'm never quite sure what the point of posts like this are, that a ND board is full of ND homers? Secondly, my problem is not with the argument Miami fans are making per se it's:

Yep. Most of the pro-Miami bloviating comes from a small handful of pundits like Bruce Feldman (oddly doesn't mention that he's a Miami alum) and Ari Wasserman (sincerely thinks that recruiting stars are everything and thus a fanboy for flashy teams like Miami).I'd estimate that 50%+ of national pundits think that ND should be ranked ahead of Miami
What's the point of a board with only homers? An echo chamber/circle jerk doesn't seem that appealing to me
Doubt that LSU can muster enough to beat Okl @ home. Best hope is one or both of the visitors (highly unlikely for both) of the 2 other games going Irish way.So do you guys think it is safe to say that ND will be going on the road in the first round? What do you think needs to happen for us to host?
Obviously these three games would help...
LSU upsets Oklahoma
Washington upsets Oregon
Miss St. upsets Ole Miss
Any other games/scenarios?
I think we need one of these three just to make sure we are in.So do you guys think it is safe to say that ND will be going on the road in the first round? What do you think needs to happen for us to host?

Technically just one of those happen would slot us up to 8 for the time being and a first round home game, but we don't know how the rest of the season will shake out so probably 2 out of 3 would probably be required to give a little buffer. So do you guys think it is safe to say that ND will be going on the road in the first round? Miami does not matter.I honestly think we are in a bad position at 9. If Alabama wins the SEC championship we will be 10. If BYU loses the Big 12 championship, Utah is the only team between ND and Miami. At that point are we in the same “tier “ as Miami and they’d start to consider head to head? Obviously if Pitt wins none of this matters but from what I’ve seen that’s not very likely. Miami’s will dominate both lines
I think Vandy might jump Miami in this week's rankings. I think the committee likes us and is looking for reasons to include us in the postseason. I mean, Miami just jumped Vandy this last week so it's not like Miami has been solidly ahead of Vandy for the duration of the rankings.I honestly think we are in a bad position at 9. Yeah, people are reading too much into the committee chair's statement about how head to head isn't relevant until we're in the same tier. He just said that if we happen to be it will be a "major data point" but he didn't say it was automatic that Miami would be ahead of us. Even if Miami beats Pitt this weekend, zero chance they look as good as us doing it and so the committee can point to the multiple other points of data that have us solidly ahead of Miami.Miami does not matter.
They didn't beat VT by 22, highly doubt they beat Pitt like we did.Only thing I don't love about that is that the final was 37-15. Should have really been a 44-0 game. The offense gave them ten points and then Narduzzi's last second timeout TD. I could see Miami winning by more than 22.
Agreed. I think our last safety net is T Tech beating BYU. If BYU wins and none of the above happens I think we are in serious trouble. We just need one of these and it's basically a lock:
Washington beats Oregon
or
Miss State beats Ole Miss
or
LSU beats OU
or
Auburn beats Bama
Then Pitt beats Miami for good measure which I think is going to happen.
What a clown...
"2) They just faced two teams who chose NOT to compete at 100% (Navy and Pitt)."
Sorry guys. That one ain't happenin'....We just need one of these and it's basically a lock:
Washington beats Oregon
or
Miss State beats Ole Miss
or
LSU beats OU
or
Auburn beats Bama

I could see it as well. Cristobal will use that as a motivating factor for sure. Game is at noon on the road just like ND. If it happens, it is what it is. Narduzzi will put in his two cents for good measure since he played both. Just stay off X b/c the chorus against ND will get much louder.Only thing I don't love about that is that the final was 37-15. Should have really been a 44-0 game. Yep, really has not been that wild of a year.None of these will happen
That's just not true. If ND slips to 11 because of BYU winning and Bama winning the SEC we will be out due to ACC champ getting an auto bid.The lock is ND beats the tree by 30. We control our destiny IMO. All the years of SEC "eye test" and they are going to ignore the ND this year? (and the ND $$$)
The opportunity is moving up b/c of chaos.
You already know Narduzzi will be fluffing the conference opponent and inevitably say some dumb sh*t.I could see it as well. Cristobal will use that as a motivating factor for sure.
