The entire Big 12 is just awful. It's a bunch of Group of 5 caliber teams masquerading as a power conference. ACC isn't much better, Miami is the most protected/blessed team I've seen in awhile and they'll get totally blown out by a Georgia, Ohio State, or equivalent.

Yeah, these days I just assume the worst possible scenario. Even when you think something is impossible the pollsters surprise. Might as well put BYU and Indiana ahead of ND for now, too. Even if they don't jump ND this week, they will if they keep winning so we need them to lose as well. That said, still should end up in the playoffs when everything shakes out IF we win out.

True, but we'll see soon how really good he has them playing in the next 5 weeks with WA, Michigan State, Michigan, and Ohio State on their slate, but honestly, OSU will be their toughest game, but even OSU doesn't seem as strong as years past. This would be an amazing 1-year turnaround. So, in reality, the CFP will be their real test, just like for ND (if we win out). I wonder where he will coach next?

So if you're like me you've been looking ahead to that OSU/PSU game to get PSU out of the way if they get rocked. But if they beat OSU... OSU is out of the conference title and likely without a single top 25 win all year and 2 losses.

I don't view IU as a true title contender to hang with Georgia, Oregon, Ohio St etc. Just a notch below that. However, it's getting difficult to doubt Cignetti. I really did not expect them to blow Nebraska out like that. Their margin of victory is impressive.

Your traditional powers aren't what they were in bama and Georgia even a team like Oregon who had a big win against Ohio State was pushed to the brink by Boise. Tennessee beats bama but loses to Arkansas and should have lost to Florida. It's so hard to tell who's good with weak out of conference scheduling

Bama’s problem is the coaching. He is going to wish he didn’t take this job.

Not sure where to put this, but does anyone else think that Penn St is a pretender? They have not had any impressive results. The only decent team they play is OSU and then they could avoid the conference championship game and end up 11-1 and walk into the playoffs. #2 in the nation is absolutely ridiculous. They are barely top 10 IMO. I would LOVE to get matched up with them if they have to make the playoffs.

I believe in my heart this is a top 5 team though.
