I think it kinda does in terms of our rankings next week. If they had lost, we would move up and it would be harder for the pollsters to not drop miami, georgia behind us as well as put bama and ole miss ahead of us. So, if they lost, we could have moved up as high as 7th(jumping BYU, Miami, and Georgia). Since they won, there is a fear we could drop to 12th(not jumping anyone and bama and ole miss jumping us). I hope it doesnt matter, but I'm just saying that is the fear, at least for me.

I wouldn't be shocked if Miami and Georgia were still ahead of us, though I'd disagree with that. I guess we hope BYU wins their conference game or loses before then (maybe @ ASU?)

Yeah. Georgia and Miami were ranked so high, they'd have to fall a long way.
Thinking ahead for our playoff picture though:

Georgia plays Tennessee next week. The winner of that game will be ahead of us while the loser will not, pretty much regardless.

Not worried about Miami at all now. They'll either win the ACC and finish top 4, or lose again and fall back.

BYU kinda similar. Win and they're in. Though I'd be curious to see how the committee treats a one-loss BYU that does not win the Big 12. Like Miami they've had a lot of close calls. I'd guess they make the tournament but as like an 11 seed.

Continue To believe losing by 3 scores is going to drop Georgia a lot further than ppl think. This wasn't an awe shucks SEC game that came down to the wire. Total exposure.
