San Francisco received a third-round selection and a third 2023 third-round selection after Tennessee hired former 49ers director of player personnel Ran Carthon as general manager

Todd McDraft got that early hot mock

Never too early to get a mock off

Players you might want to know this year:

# 1 Caleb Williams (USC) - gross
# 2 Marvin Harrison Jr (OSU)- he's got deadly genes
# 8 J.T. Tiumolau (OSU) - not when Alt & Fisher finish with him
# 12 Joe Alt (ND) - this feels low when its all said and done
# 15 Jack Sawyer (OSU) - worst character on Lost
# 19 Michael Hall Jr. (OSU) - Dexter Jr.
# 21 Emeka Egbuka (OSU) - starting to think this small state school is talented
# 25 Denzel Burke (OSU) - wait another one?
# 27 Calen Bullock (USC) - I smell burnt toast
# 30 Jeremiah Trotter (Clemson) - down Clemson is down
# 32 Graham Barton (Duke) - clicked on NBA mock on accident, my apologies

Stay tuned for more draft fun!

Braelon Allen Wisconsin RB - he's a Badger RB. Period.
Jaelen McMillan Washington WR - mostly in slot last year. He'll go outside this year and produce even more.
Orande Gadsen II Syracuse TE - More like a big receiver. He can line up all over.
Olu Fashanu Penn State OT - Zero sacks allowed last year. Excellent pass protector. Only 20 years of age and is pursuing a Masters.
Beaux Limmer Arkansas OG- Nasty dude. Gets to the second level and doesn't lose.
Jer'Zahn Newtwon Illinois DL - 13 tackles for loss or no gain last year and he's a DT.
Bralen Trice Washington Edge - more production last year that Will Anderson from Bama.
Maema Njongmeta Wisconsin LB - 17 tackles for loss or no gain last year.
Josh Newton TCU CB - 35% completion rate. Louisiana Monroe transfer.
Cole Bishop Utah S - 6-2, 205. Runs fast, hits hard.

I'm slacking in by draft updating, my bad!

Draftdaddy supreme Mel Kiper updated his big board and its' niiiiiice.

Welllllll it's the Big Board!

12. Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame

6-8, 315 pounds | Previously: 9

Alt has started 29 games at left tackle since the 2021 season, and I've been most impressed by his technique on a snap-to-snap basis. He rarely gets caught out. He mirrors well in pass protection, adjusting easily to secondary moves from edge rushers. He does a great job keeping his huge frame between the defender and his quarterback. From 2021-22, he allowed just 13 total pressures in nearly 700 pass-block snaps for the Fighting Irish.

Alt's father, John, was a first-round offensive tackle, too, going No. 21 overall to the Chiefs in 1984. He was 6-7, 275 pounds when he entered the NFL, which shows you how the game has changed since then.

Running backs
1. Audric Estime, Notre Dame

Tight ends
6. Mitchell Evans, Notre Dame

Offensive tackles
2. Joe Alt
Defensive tackles

10. Howard Cross III, Notre Dame

Cornerbacks

9. Cam Hart, Notre Dame

6. Xavier Watts, Notre Dame

9. Spencer Shrader, Notre Dame (K)

Sadly ND draft prospects usually drop down a round or two. Alt won’t be in the top 10 but will be too 20. Estime rounds 3 or 4. Hart rounds 5 or 6. That’s it. Hartman UDFA. He was better off in the WF system.

I agree and that is why they should all come back for one more year!

If Mills goes, he could be a Top 100 guy. More than likely, I see fourth round at the earliest for him. NFL guys will love his size and technique, and his disruption numbers are good. You just would want to see him finish more on some plays, and I feel that would be echoed in NFL scouting circles. Personally, I'm on the fence about him returning. It would be a great bonus for next years team. He's also played close to 1,300 snaps throughout his career, which is alot. He's going to finish around 1,500 after the bowl game. That's a lot of pounding.

If he was a borderline draftable guy, I'd say come back. As a mid-round guy, I'd say go to the league. He's healthy, there's plenty of good tape. He comes back and tears his ACL, his stock will take a big hit. Sure, there is NIL money... but as a non-pass rushing DT, truly how much NIL oppourtunities and cash can be made? Wouldn't say that much.

If he's a mid-fourth round pick, let's say #120 OVR, last year's pick at that spot (OT, Carter Warren) signed a contract with guaranteed money at $744,320.00. Can he make that at ND as a fifth-year senior? I doubt it.

Kiper notwithstanding does anyone really think Mills is better than Howard Cross. Cross is way more productive.

It’s not necessarily a talent question every time when it comes to scouting for the draft. It’s about long-term projection. 95% of the time a 6’5” 305 DT will be more favourable than one who is 6’0” 285.

But, to answer your question, Cross is better but the gap between the two is slim.

Estime is going to be such a good value pick for someone. I know running backs are not all the rage anymore, but if he lands in the right franchise he's going to flourish as a pro.

Perfect running style for the NFL... gonna generate a lot of hidden yards between the tackles if he gets to a franchise where the QB checks into the run at the right time. Can do it with power or nimble feet through traffic. Catches the ball well. A dude like Joe Burrow would benefit him greatly.......

I was thinking any team in the AFC North would be a fit.

The Ravens got Hamilton. The Browns got Wu. The Steelers... got Claypool before he turned into whatever he is now.

The Bengals are due for a Domer. Plus, Estime would pair well with Chase Brown. A little Thunder/Lightning action.

IDK if you guys know about this site, the Mock Draft database. It kind of collates mock drafts from a bunch of sources, has draft ranking Big Boards, needs by team and a draft simulator that is fun to fart around with. It can get overwhelmed by traffic sometimes, but is pretty good. Check it out.

I could see some skill guys flying up the boards and knocking some of the OT down, perhaps out of the Top 10.

Alt, Fashanu and Latham could end up being steals for teams drafting in the 8-15 range.

IMO Even if you think Caleb and Fields are very similar caliber players, you take Caleb because of the rookie deal he'll be on. Paying franchise QB money to a mediocre QB is a recipe for 7-9 win seasons.
