I'm going to say you'll get your wish of speed with Kiser being faster than at least 2, probably 3 of those 4 you listed.
Ausberry is a low 4.4 guy, Sneed right at 4.5, Bowen is mid 4.5s and not quite sure about KVA as far as timed speed, but he is certainly instinctive. Kiser has good lateral quicks and some good wheels but im guessing he'd be in the 4.58-4.63 range.

Going to be very important for Golden to get the lb core up to speed so they're playing fast on the field and not letting and mental blocks or mishaps slow them down

Yep. I’m guessing Bertrand will play in the bowl game but I hope it’s not one of those games where he never comes off the field. The next generation needs some live action.

Need to have some of these Freshman DL guys who redshirted come in ready to play next year. Depth is always good

Price is my favorite player on the team and is Marcus Allen reincarnated.
Happy for that and hope (and believe) that the tandem will be at the top of college football this upcoming season. It’s a great situation to be in.

Before he was injured two years ago, he was considered the best back on the team. That’s from camp reports with Estime and Diggs.

It usually takes a full recovery season before a player is 100% back after Achilles surgery.

I have very high hopes.

JD Bertrand likely to play in bowl game, per Loy. Interesting he hasn't announced yet return/NFL yet.

he has a year of eligibility left? Kids can play in the senior bowl and still return?

Might not be ideal for the coaches and roster planning but I would bet someone like JD will be allowed his time to decide.

He does. Redshirted in '19, COVID in '20, played '21-23, so he has a year left, like Kiser.

He did say he was playing in the senior bowl, which likely means he's gone, but IIRC, you can play in the senior bowl and come back now, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

If I was Bertrand I would come back. He would have to know he has single digit percentage chance playing longer than a couple of years in the L.

Love is a better player unless you are thinking of it from a seniority perspective.
Love is faster/more explosive, but Price is the more natural running back right now. If Love is Darren McFadden, Price is Felix Jones. I think Price has a much greater chance of matching the production pf Jones than Love does coming anywhere close to that of McFadden though.

As the pieces are coming together, I thought I'd take a shot at the ND Depth Chart for 2024. It's always fun to look towards next year at this point of the season. I'm not sure where some of the freshmen project, but I added them. I intend to update if/when we get more transfers.

If ND's marketing group doesn't exploit the Lewis & Clark thing or maybe

The law firm of "Shuler, Watts and Heard"

Something along those lines would be neat

I really hope that's how OL pans out. I'm not sure that's what it'll look like in spring depending on if Spindler is back and healthy.

Nothing against Coogan, but I just don't see him as a guy with elite guard potential. He seems more like a center playing guard. Not quite as out of place as Correll, but he's not super imposing physically. He's like 6'5 and just over 300.

I'd rather have a road grader like Spindler, who is 315-320, alongside Schrauth, also 315-320. We need some road graders at guard.

Heck, Pendleton can be that too. Dude's already there physically, and apparently has impressed the staff since he set foot on campus.
