2023 Rankings

I’ve got major issues with all of those teams being ranked over ND, but especially Penn State and Arizona. No clue what those teams did to earn their rankings.

ND finishes 14th in the AP Poll. Other 10-3 teams ahead of them are PSU, LSU, and Arizona.

The respect Penn State gets for what they actually have accomplished makes no sense to me. Congrats on playing a mediocre big 10 schedule and losing your 2 biggest games every year

Arizona beat a series of "ranked" teams in the PAC.

Penn State beat up on average teams and lost to anyone with a pulse. Basically same as ND.

Arizona got beat by USC almost the same point in the season we demolished USC. Tie breaker goes to us. They beat Oregon at by a FG, got beat by Mississippi St! Beat Colorado by a FG! Sorry that doesn’t put you ahead of us. Penn state just stunk. We could beat them and I think our D could find a way to stifle LSU QB if we shut down Caleb. Put us ahead of Ohio State while you’re at it.

I wasn't suggesting they should be ranked ahead of ND, and believe their ranking was largely due to beating teams that were improperly ranked during the season which is why I used quotes.

ND was a better team but nobody really gives a shit who was ranked 11 and 12.

Arizona I kind of get. They were an upstart and won their last seven games. Momentum counts for something. Penn State though. Yeesh. Their best win was, what, Iowa?
