Yes it was a purposeful way to exclude Carr from the sample set. Rees’ haters already exclude Carr from examples, say he was lucky, etc. It’s like you’d rather see Rees flame out then not.
Bro, why would I include a player who (as it stands today) is two years from stepping on campus to a statement about how no one Rees has signed to date (sans Buchner) was a needle mover?! Take the L on this one and move on to another post of mine you'll undoubtedly find some problem with.

Yes you drew a line in the sand at signed, even though you’re complaining about 2023 recruiting who at last check hasn’t signed yet either just like Carr. You even agreed you can’t judge until the cycle closes, as you judge before the cycle closes.

So either save the whining about Jaxon Smolik who doesn’t even have an offer until after signing day or if we want pre signing day commentary, include our 2024 commit, it’s one or the other as I see it. I guess take that as my “L” and you’re win.

Not sure why this is so difficult for you. If/when Carr reclassifies, we can include him in the discussion of the CURRENT cycle. Til then, he's unrelated. Again, not going to give Rees credit for signing, sealing, and delivering a kid who is two years away from stepping foot on campus. The '23 cycle is the current cycle, hence the correlation between it and prior results. Now get off my dick.

I have to think Reclassifying is a topic the staff is revisiting with the Carrs. We cannot have two bad QB Classes in a row! This is Notre Dame!

Why is Angeli bad?

Were fellow 3 star NJ QB's Kenny Pickett and Devin Leary "bad" prospects?

My concern with Angeli is that (IMO) he's better than Pyne by a hair. I don't see Pyne or Angeli as a QB that has the upside needed to win a Natty.

Who is the "we", because all major recruiting sites, ND fans, 2024 QBs and 2024 prospects consider him committed.

Is Drayk Bowen committed? Jack Larsen? Jagusah?
I’d call them CCs. Commentary committed with not that long to go and good signs.
Anyone 18months out, a 5 star and likely B$ offers on the way is dicey.

Interesting QB update. Doesn’t read as just a generic update and instead seems to imply the staff privately likes there chances with someone.

Idk read as we know something that we aren’t saying rather than just a “they’ll get someone” type update.

Great, can't wait for the speculation to begin. Someone who is committed elsewhere and I would imagine no worse than Minchey.

The season really needs to start soon.

Plot twist: Dante Moore
That would be hilarious. I actually don't think it's impossible that he could eventually wind up at ND. Ty Thompson was a highly ranked QB in the 2021 class and if he gets the starting job this year and plays well, Dante could be on the bench at Oregon for 2-3 years and instead could opt to transfer, perhaps to ND.

I’d rather have CJ. If it pushed CJ away, I would be far happier with Minchey. As the great Garth Brooks said, some of gods greatest gifts are unanswered prayers. Dante would never win fan favorite or coach favorite over CJ. He’d have an uphill battle. I feel the same about Mpemba over Keeley, if we are lucky enough to get him.

Arch?

But for real, Avery Johnson or Minchey seem like the most likely candidates. At least on paper, right? Dark horse IMO would be Jackson Arnold
