Wednesday’s win against Miami was the first real victory I’ve been impressed with this year. To go out 48 hours after a terrible loss on the road against 1st place Miami was pretty impressive. Say what you will about the offense against Duke, but the defensive performances as of late have been really impressive. Solomon as earned his money in that regards.

I have to imagine if we beat NC St on Saturday we’d be in the field on all bracketology sites.

6-3 they're out without winning a couple in the ACC tournament. 7-2 likely last 4 in. 8-1 probably a 10-8 seed. Every single game is winnable.

They probably need to go 8-1 looking at the schedule. Wake and FSU are the only top 100 teams left on the schedule. Any losses against any other team will be looked at as bad losses. And at least one more top 100 win would seem necessary too. The committee puts alot of importance on Top 100 record and 3-5 (or 4-4 if we can win both Wake and FSU) looks alot better than 2-6.

They corrected Laz’s injury to a lower leg contusion. Must have been pretty bad as they knew at halftime he was done for the day.

Lax hurt and Atkinson in foul trouble but no Zona. Small lineup had no clue so back to Atkinson. Fortunately it worked out. NC St big men were no threat whatsoever.

But Brey made an excellent adjustment in the second half. Went to zone and NC St had no idea how to attack it.

True, but if they go say 8-1 down the stretch and end up at 24-8, I can't imagine them being left out. They are currently tied with Dook at the top of the ACC. Will need a decent showing in the ACC tourney for sure.

Oh really? I saw CBS had ND in, but ESPN still had them in the Last 4 Out group, which I think was updated after the Miami win. You're right though, win the games they should and have a good showing against Wake, I don't think they'll be left out.

Yeah a couple of his last four in, lost last night. Combine that with a ND win, we should be in on the next update

Got solid contributions today from Cormac Ryan and Wertz. I expect Atkinson, Wesley and Goodwin to be able to put the ball in the basket...but when Ryan and Wertz are hitting and Hubb is not turning the ball over, this team is much more dangerous. Hope Laz's leg injury isn't too bad. Can't afford to slip up and lose a few games coming up. Go Irish...lets get back into the big dance!!!

I see a lot of people saying it's a down year in the ACC, and while that might be true, this team is still doing work. Including the coaching staff.

With Duke's loss, Notre Dame is now tied for first place in the ACC.

IMO, the key to ND making the NCAA's is to be on the opposite side of Duke in the ACC bracket. If they continue to win at this clip, they could be playing themselves into 9 seed territory. In reality, I think they still have a one/two potential headscratchers (just like the ladies against FSU). In that case, they will need a win or two in the ACCT to not feel like it's a toss up on selection Sunday.
