Pitts's QB, Kenny Pickett, injured his left ankle last week against BC and didn't make the trip to Miami.

In the first half, transfer redshirt freshman Joey Yellen has gotten more snaps then fellow redshirt freshman Davis Beville.

Neither has looked good in Pitts's 7 first half drives. 4 punts. 1 turnover on downs. And 2 FGs, one on a short field after King, who hasn't looked good either, got picked by Paris Ford setting up practically first and goal.

This week is pulling me back on the UGA hype.

Tennessee is getting routed by Kentucky.

Auburn's offense looks like ass against South Carolina.

Arkansas is...well Arkansas.

I just noticed CBS’ scoreboard only includes the team’s ranking if they’re a SEC team,... lol geez

Actually guys I think we want UNC to remain undefeated before our game. Beating them would be a big feather in the cap in the minds of many.

Jurkovic is more consistent than Book.

PJ has already been INT'd tonight (should have been 2), and has also fumbled.
I would not paint him as consistent. I've watched just about every game he's played so far.
He's had good moments, but he's also looked plenty bad at times.

Honestly, he has not impressed today.

VT's secondary is abysmal, probably the worst in the ACC. Howell absolutely gashed them last week and he is getting worked by FSU right now.

Looking like Clemson, Georgia, Bama and everyone else this season.

Jurkovic is like that every game which makes him consistent.
Book is aggravating because he should either play at the level he played against FS so we can do well or else play like this week every week so we can move on.

Va Tech hasn't thrown a pass this 3rd quarter and is still running all over BC

People bought the snake oil with Phil, but now his shortcomings are biting him in the ass.

Every game he's thrown a lot of gems, but he's also thrown a lot of duds and honestly, he's fortunate that he hasn't gotten a lot of them picked off.

He's not so fortunate today. VT has picked him off twice and he's looked really mediocre. Sure, he has 300 yards in the air, but on 42 attempts and 2 picks and he hasn't been able to lead his team into the end zone against a defense that gave up 56 last week to UNC.

So you want consistent 2INTs + a fumble and losing, over inconsistent but turn over free wins

Agree, but still think he could improve with some time. Not saying at all we should have started him over Book. He has very obvious holes in his game.

Book hasn't lost to a mediocre VT team as PJ has, but losing is putting it lightly...because BC was prison sex'd tonight. Book also didn't need heroics to beat a Texas State team, which is the bottom of the FBS barrel. The only part of me worried about playing BC is the PTSD from '93, they like the spoiler role.

This is a long, convoluted thread from David Hale about Nick Saban being able to test negative enough time before kickoff to coach last night whereas coaches from other programs like FSU, Ark St, Memphis, etc didn’t get that opportunity. I didn’t keep up w/ the details around Saban but Hale seemed to be alluding to “special treatment”. I don’t pretend to know as I didn’t closely follow the process Saban went through but was hoping one of you might have (like T-Town or Bishop) so you could weigh in.
