What I've gotten out of the Clemson games I've watched this year, is that good teams are going to be able to stop/slow down the running game.

I think we can and will play with these guys again as long as the offense can move the chains again.

welp, at least OR lost again.

Let OR beat WA next week, and USC will play an unranked team for the PAC championship... and hopefully lose.

What in the unholy f*ck has happened to Duke's defense?

They looked impressive week 1 and then proceeded to completely tank after that.

huh? they just went on the road and beat Wiscy without their starting QB. they took OSU down to the wire.

they haven't had a winning season in 12 years before last year, and this is only like their 3rd winning season in 25 years. not sure they've ever had a one loss year. they haven't had a 2 loss team since the 60s. add in coach with an Indy history, who lost his son for the year as well as his QB...

i mean, is there a more lovely story in CFB this year?

I can think of one....

It's a lie we told ourselves lol..

They are actually decent vs the pass, horrible vs the run

Including today's games, only four Bg Ten teams (Ohio State, Indiana, Northwestern, Iowa) have winning records. Seven teams have 2-4 or 2-5 records. Wisconsin and Maryland have .500 records (2-2). Ohio State has played one team with a winning record, Indiana (6-1). The other four have a combined record of 8-18 with 2-4 Michigan next week.

Lol LSU gave up 45 points in the first half. Haha

The rumor was that Saban told Sark to hang 70 on LSU. It sure looked like we were going to. I think Nick called off the dogs after halftime and only scored 10 after making his point in the first half.

Indiana is the other team I root for. It's so great to see ND and IU have great seasons.

Do you think IU can take advantage on the recruiting trail?

Unfortunately, I don't think it's all that close.

I could see McCloud and Hamilton being up for the task against Bama. Crawford and whoever happens to be playing the other DB position, not so much.

I hope so, but it's an uphill climb. I don't really follow their recruiting, but doubt they've finished in the top half of the Big10 in recruiting in the last 10 years (or ever lol)..

Allen is a good coach and his players love him, so who knows. He's got IN ties (coached at Ben Davis and Wabash) and knows the SE (time at Ole Miss, S.FL, Ark St). I know he's been hitting GA and FL hard. Surprised he doesn't have a better hold on Ben Davis and some of the other IN schools. Perhaps that will change now.

They need to invest in their FB facilities if they want to get serious. They upgraded their locker and training rooms a few years ago, but the stadium (and facilities) is still pretty pedestrian compared to other schools.

Bama is the best team I’ve seen play this year.

It's hard to tell how good they are. Florida seems pretty good but LSU and Auburn are down right now, TAMU struggled with both and TAMU hasn't exactly been anything special well....ever.

Alabama looks good though no doubt. I presume they are probably better than everyone else this year based on how their scores have looked and their pedigree.

For the program, I think it'd be good to dodge them in the first round if we make the playoffs though. I would like to play anyone else in the first round if only to get a W. People can't shit on a team who wins the semi-final.

I hear ya. They’ve crushed every team they’ve played and have been really consistent. Their O is something else and checks all the boxes. Experienced QB with a strong arm, experienced o line, bruising running backs and dynamic skill players. It’s like Clemson with a way better online.

I have to admit that I have never heard of Coastal Carolina football and I am now going to go look up what a Chanticleer is. (edit: apparently it is a domestic cock).

Did anyone else see the last play of the 1st half in the CCU-BYU game? The announcers kept calling it "chippy" It was way past that. BYU there an int on a hail mary which was returned. Two guys from Coastal blocked the BYU QB to the ground...three different times.

Coastal's coaching them to do this. Pretty far over the top IMO.

I agree. Based on what we could see, they look like they’ve distanced themselves from everyone else. After Ole Miss lit up the Bama defense, they seemed to take it personally & have gotten closer to lockdown every game since. I think playing them in the CFP would be similar to playing CLemson back in 2018 (maybe uglier) b/c they don’t seem to have a weakness.

Funny moment from the Bama-LSU game last night: Najee Harris took a hit to the groin and stayed down on a knee for a bit before exiting the game for a play or two. A guest announcer (I don't know who) said, "Oh, he'll get to the sideline and tell the coaches (in a high falsetto), 'I'm OK. Don't touch me.'" There was an awkward pause and then he said, "Y'all gave me a microphone. This is your fault!" LOL!

Deon Mcintosh led WSU with 65 yards on 10 carries tonight.
