So is this like a two more are already in the bag kinda thing?

Staff is really finding it's footing with their spring officials.

How many on the DL are we taking again? 6?

Heard it's 6 or 7 as of now.

That of course can change with additional transfers, medicals, academic casualties and who does/doesn't get asked back for a GS year. It's an eternity from now until NSD.

I'm curious if this kid gets an offer. Plays with KJ Wallace and appears to be friends with Kyle Hamilton as well. He has done very well in camps this year

As of now, no. His resume is stuck on the recruiting assistants' desks at the moment. I've been tracking him since one of the regional guys did a write up on his film in Dec. Was bummed when ND didn't get him on campus last month when he visited Northwestern.

His film is very good and he's backing it up on the trail this spring.

Definitely worth the offer, that's Elko's thinking at least. aTm just offered over the weekend.

FWIW: Measured in at 6-1.5/218. Ran a 4.78/40, a 4.38/Shut and a 36" Vert.

John Bivens is now a 4* on 247 & ESPN after being given an 80 by ESPN. Would love to see Kyren Williams, John Bivens, and Jirehl Brock be offered and be the top 3 targets outside of the long shot talents like Austin Jones and those other top dudes.

Cornelius Johnson, 4* on 247 & 4* on ESPN with an 80 grade. Would be a great big target to bring into the WR room. Hopefully ND can get this guy on board.

Brayden Liebrock & Jude Wolfe were both given 4* grades on ESPN to along with 4* grades on 247. Great job out of Chip Long & ND to get four 4* TE prospects on campus this spring so far (Hudson Henry, Ethan Rae, Jude Wolfe, Brayden Liebrock).

Not sure if we've covered this guy yet but here's a name that I'm fairly curious about going forward. Reed Ryan 19' DE, out of Wisconsin. Visited last weekend for the B&G game.

People have posted questions regarding what happens with the DB recruiting after Kyle Hamilton committed. Just wanted to give an idea on what ND has left to work with. They have 15 DB's that have eligibility in 2019!! Which is a crazy number to work with so ND having 3 DB commits is already close to set, but I've heard 4 DB's being the number that's tossed around. I'd assume there are going to be transfers as well in this huge DB pool at ND right now so I believe ND could hold steady at 4 DB commits and shop around for best available player after that point. So in summary, I'm guessing ND tries for 1 more commit and then shops for best available being at 4-5 DB commits this cycle...

.9774 4* Jeremiah Criddell - CA - Made his Top 5, needs to visit to have a shot
.9509 4* Max Williams - CA - OV'ing 9/1, electrifying small DB recruit
.9466 4* Nick Cross - MD - OSU favorite, but ND should get a visit, loves Lea
.9319 4* Cam'Ron Kelly - VA - PSU favorite, made Top 8, ND dream school curse!
.9314 4* Kenyatta Watson - GA - UT/ND final 2, has to choose Texas...or..surprise
.9218 4* Woodi Washington - TN - loved his first visit, plans to return
.9198 4* Salim Turner-Muhammad - VA - Stanford/ND, come on Litchfield, what u got?
.9101 4* Raymond Woodie - FL -Supposedly a shoe-in for FSU (dad asst), loved his visit
.9101 4* Jalani Williams - MO - Made Top 8, needs to visit
.8953 4* Wesley Walker - TN - visited twice, loves Lea, hopefully back for a gameday
.8953 4* Isaiah Rutherford - CA - Polian all over him, 6'2'' CB, wants to visit in summer

Needing only 1 more commit to probably fill up, ND is in an enviable position where they can concentrate their resources on their favorite targets. I also want to point out a missing piece to the recruiting puzzle so far...BRIAN POLIAN. This guy is going to get someone from the west coast. The last two cycles, ND has brought in Aaron Banks, Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa, Jordan Genmark-Heath, Jack Lamb, Jarrett Patterson, Tariq Bracy, and Braden Lenzy. I don't think ND is whiffing out west this cycle either. Polian is after Criddell, Rutherford, and Williams at the DB spot and I think might be able to pull a Hawaiian down to ND at least for a visit or two (Julius Buelow & Enokk Vimahi). Point is, I think ND is in great shape at DB and the staff is still out looking for more top talent.

I'm optimistic but it would still be nice to have salim. He is a great fit

So, assuming Carroll is Irish this week, what kind of impact will it have on the depth chart? Would Olmstead, Kristofic, and Carroll stay at tackle? I would assume maybe one of them gets moved inside (Olmstead?) and lets hope we can get Zeke as our other interior o-lineman.

The favorite seems to be Olmsted. From the available data, I'd agree with that.

Whose the top guards we are after and whose the future center after this season?!

This cycle: Zeke Correll, then Saleem Wormley and then Christian Mahogany or Jarod DePriest

2019 Center: Trevor Ruhland, Dylan Gibbon, Robert Hainsey (?), Luke Wypler or Pete Skoronski

Hainsey is the future at center.

That's what I thought but he's still holding down an OT spot. At some point you'd think they'd move that midget inside. Gotta get Lugg/Banks on the field at some point. All that said, I haven't heard a peep about it from the ND media machine.

When Mustipher leaves it will have the same level of inevitability as Eich at LT.
Then we finally wont have 2 centers in our best 5.

I hope you're right but I've seen nothing that points to this. Did you read something somewhere saying this is a possible path?

Nah man. Thats just from my eyeballing and personal opinion.

Everytime i watch him play i just think he'd be a great center.

I always figured the plan would be to get him and Kraemer comfortable playing together then kick Kraemer to LG and Hainsey to C.

Bring in Banks and Lugg then do the same.

and repeat..

Kristofic - Olmstead - Skoronski - Wypler - Carroll = 2022 season

Fixed.

IF Hainsey moves to OC, I highly doubt the three '19 classer's will leap frog the entire '17 & '18 classes to play with Hainey at OC by the '20 season.

Quinn talked about Luke Jones at Center. The only about RH moving to Center that I see is his size. The staff RAVE about his footwork and ability at tackle. They wanted him at LT but he didn't have the size and length. I just don't see him moving to center.

Yep, forgot about Jones as an OC. That was mentioned, as was Patterson's potential ability to play all 5 spots.

There's no denying Hainsey's ability at OT, he had the most impressive high school career of any recent OT as the two year starting LT at IMG. But if the goal is still to get the best 5 on the field, Lugg, Banks, etc will need to play eventually and RH makes the most sense to move inside.

Definitely could see Patterson redshirt and then be back up to Hainsey in 2 years

Ill go on record with some foolishness:

McGlinchey - Nelson - Mustipher - Bars - Kaemer/Hainsey

Eichenberg - Kraemer - Mustipher - Bars - Hainsey/Lugg

Eichenberg - Kraemer - Hainsey - Gibbons/Patterson - Lugg/ Banks

Banks - Patterson - Hainsey - Gibbons - Lugg
