He's no Backmeier or Shrader. This disturbs me. I'll take Mighty Max Duggan before him also.
Spelled Norte Dame right though.
Yes, I did that on purpose.
Here's one to be excited about. Brandon Smith is the real deal. Will be on campus this month per 247. Keep your fingers crossed they get in the mix. RKG on and off.

Look forward to following Polian as he applies the Te'o leverage on Maninoa Tufono. Same HS, same position, same #, same recruiter... same results? We'll see.

He's a Washington legacy but he's definitely on my 2019 hit list. Here's to many productive nights at the Trump International Waikiki for Coach Polian.

USC is his dream school
Tufono also has some strong connections to the school: current Trojans Jordan Iosefa and Vavae Malepeai and 2018 commit Palaie Gaoteote are all his first cousins. 247
4-star 2019 LB Maninoa Tufono talks USC offer, connections
Well, I was getting thirsty for a commit; I didn't think it would be a 2019 guy but I'm glad Cade McNamara got the class going.
This is about the time of year where we see Heistand start grabbing his junior o-linemen; now that might be delayed since he might grab another guy or two for the 2018 class. I doubt it though.
Who is next? As stated above, Heistand might start grabbing some guys. I wouldn't be surprised if John Olmstead committed. Jacob Lacey, Jowon Briggs, and Mazi Smith are obvious guys to keep an eye on as well.
A dark horse: McNamara will be looking to form relationships with receivers asap. I'd love for Cade to hit up in-state receiver David Bell and get him on board.
Looks like ND is going to enter the Doug Nester sweepstakes. Early gut feeling is he could be a Q Nelson / R Hainsey type of OT recruit that may project best sliding inside to OG.
He's from WV and it wouldn't surprise me if he ends up at IMG.
He's had his OSU offer pinned since March so there's that.

Name to watch. And what a glorious name it is = Traveon Freshwater.
Per his Wake Forest 247 Timeline he wasn't offered by Wake after Dec 15 so he was offered by Elko/Lea. I follow Michael Clark and see ND Scout people tagged so 1+1 = 2.

Nice offer. Michigan legacy (Dad and Grandpa are alum) but Archbishop Hoban is a Congregation of Holy Cross school just like ND.
The bad news:

Lets keep the St. Peters pipeline going and offer Mr. Oben soon. Obviously plays at a school that as a strong emphasis on academics, plays with THREE current Notre Dame commits, and plays a position that Notre Dame struggles recruiting. He already holds offers from Syracuse, Temple, and Virginia so I'm guessing his grades check out.
