I’ll take Jags. If someone takes the Bills, we’ll be ready to roll through the top 13

Put me down for Seattle. If they trade Frank Clark for a first rounder, would I get both picks?

You could have had the first pick, too bad. You didn't volunteer.

The Chiefs traded their first round pick to Seattle. I picked both teams. Can I still have both Seattle picks since I'll research their needs?

Chiefs going for it with Clark this year, being the last of Mahomes cheap contract.

The 49ers staff is genuinely stunned by the first overall pick, and with both Murray and Bosa available the phone calls would be flying fast and furious with Raiders, Giants, Younameits to cash in this lottery ticket.

Assuming nobody meets our very modest trade demands (two first rounders and some middle filler to be named later), we would have a very real conundrum on our hands. Jimmy G has not proven to be durable as of yet and thanks to our contractual foresight he could be rather easily disposed of after the season, especially if he has a great year which would mean a possible draft pick bonanza next year AND a franchise QB who can shop at Baby Gap....

BUT NOT SO FAST MY FRIEND!

With the second pick of the 2019 NFL Draft the San Francisco 49ers select....Nick Bosa of Ohio Community College State Tech!

<img src="https://usat49erswire.files.wordpress.com/2016/03/bosa.jpg" width="300" height="200" alt="Teh Future">

In what has become an annual tradition like no other the 49ers invest their primary draft capital in a front line defender, who just so happens to be the top player available in the draft (the whole draft!!!). With Dee Ford, Deforest Buckner and the potential of Solomon Thomas/Arik Armstead, the 49ers have accumulated an intoxicating brew of speed and power up front that could rival for the NFL's best sooner rather than later. After investing in a LB that can run and not do things like "tackle" and missing on Earl Thomas, we will need all the edge pressure we can muster until a young CB emerges opposite Richard Sherman. AND with all but one of these contracts still on rookie scale they will have cap space to maneuver for secondary help and a wide receiver in the coming years if they can't nail those picks in rounds 2 and 3 this year.

Now time to start booking hotel rooms for the Super Bowl....

With the third pick of the 2019 NFL Draft, the New York Jets select Josh Allen from the University of Kentucky. The Jets haven't had an a outside pass rusher since John Abraham.

If I was the GM, I would trade back and recoup some of the picks we gave up to the Colts for Darnold.

Loved the write-ups! Forty hours or so until the real draft gets started. Subtract sixteen when we're asleep, which leaves twenty-four hours to make twenty-nine more picks!! As Lion said, "Just post and let me know who you'd like, and I will keep track of things here in the OP."

The Jets fans should be very happy with the pick of Josh Allen.

Oakland is on the clock. The Mayock and Gruden regime begins.

With the fourth selection in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Oakland Raiders select Quinnen Williams, DL, University of Alabama.

The Raiders have many needs after Gruden has gutted the team and use the #4 pick to take the best player available and maybe the best in the draft. Williams fills an immediate need as a 3 down lineman who can play the run and pass. While Kyler Murray was a possibility, the Raiders couldn’t pass up Williams. And with 2 picks remaining in the first round, they can still move up and grab a franchise QB in Lock, Haskins, Jones, or Murray should he slide like Josh Rosen last year.

With the fifth pick, the Bucs pick Ed Oliver. DL from Houston.

The Bucs need to remake their front seven with the priority being their pass rush. Both Gerald McCoy and Jason Pierre-Paul are over 30 and combined for 18.5 sacks last season - almost half the Bucs total. Oliver will team with last year's pick Vita Vea to give them a strong defensive front for years to come. There is uncertainty about McCoy's future with the Bucs.

Ed Oliver's ability to penetrate with quickness off the snap and utilize his hands to play through contact makes him an ideal fit as a three-technique. Oliver plays with tremendous leverage and the play strength needed with playmaking potential against both the run and the pass.

With the sixth pick, the New York Giants Select Dwayne Haskins QB pOSU

With twelve picks in this years draft and a deep and loaded defensive line class, the giants have ample opportunity to address their defensive needs with the 17th pick and later rounds picks. Further, picking up an extremely accurate QB to learn under Eli for a year is too good of an opportunity to pass up.

Urban Myer recently said an ideal situation for Haskins, who only had one year of starting experience at OSU, would be to sit and learn behind an NFL veteran for a year or two and who better to learn under than the 2x Super Bowl champ Eli Manning? Haskin's accuracy in the short & intermediate passing game make him an ideal fit in Shurmur's offense and his skill set will blend perfectly to his shifty WR core that is more suited for short timing routes than deep threats.

Many were fooled by the pre-draft smokescreens and reports of the Giants falling out of love with Haskins, but that is why Kiper and McShay don't actually make the picks.
