Nothing like a weekend full of great games when you don't have to stress about your own team.

Love it.

Also, go UAB, what a story.

Buffalo has a WR, Anthony Johnson, that should be a 1st or 2nd rd draft pick. Kid is a specimen. Their QB was on all the watch lists too. Being a local team, I've seen a few of their games. They can be pretty fun to watch on offense.. Go Bulls

I like it (the no stress weekend) too. I just hate it starts a sort of dead period. I wish they spread some of the better bowls/matchups around into the earlier weeks.

Some of my family and friends do a bowl picks pool, so it makes bowl season much more competitive and interesting for me. Even the crappy early ones keep my attention because of it.

But I agree; we won't see any marquee match ups after this weekend until after Christmas.

I did the pools for many years. First year, it kept me engaged. After that, it was primarily a ESPN scoreboard exercise.

In my late teens and early 20s, my best friend was a bookie (and I helped and dabbled at times). Bowl season was funnest back then.

Go Buffs

Sometime I am not sure ND is really a top 5 team. Then you watch games like Utah- Washington.

there's just so much more separation IMO from the top teams. You have Bama clearly in front, then a few other tiers. Clemson looks possibly in a tier 2 by themselves, but not even sure they shouldn't be lumped in with the next 5-6 teams. We'll see. Purely based on what Vegas odds would be, I think ND would be in the 4-8 range. We shall see.

Utah stopped them, and will get the ball back with 3+ to go.
Zero O this game. No offensive TDs.

Come on Utah!

Pac 12 championship was straight garbage. They didn't help promote the conference as a legitimate football threat.

I wouldn't call it garbage. Boring watch for sure... It was about what we should expect given both teams are top 20 Ds, and neither has an O inside the top 40ish....

Utah and Stanford were the two best teams in the Pac-12 this year, had their backs stayed even remotely healthy. The injury to Bryce Love for Stanford and the injuries to Moss and Huntley for Utah doomed them both.

I agree that Stanford would have been a lot better with a 100% Love all season, and maybe competed.., but their biggest issue was D. They were not even in the top 100 vs the pass.

I'd have to say that WA St IMO was the best. The weather killed them vs WA last week. At the end of the season, I'd say ASU was arguably the best team out of the South.

It wasnt just that it was low scoring. It was poorly played. Dropped passes, poor blocking, poor special teams play, shaky qb play at best. The only TD was an interception return after a receiver bobbled a ball which then bounced off his leg right into a CBs hands.

It was Wash. State, they win the PAC 12 if it wasn’t snowmageddon for the Apple Cup.

A lot of that is because of the D. Washington hasn't really had an O all year, and really relies on their D as much as anyone in the nation. Utah has had a decent O in some games, but injuries to both QB and RB has really hurt their season. IIRC, Washington was a pre-season top 5 D.

Game Day crowd in ATL is pretty weak. Rainy, but thought the Dawg fans would be stronger.

TX's Boyd is single-handedly is keeping OU in the game. 3 horrible penalties to keep OU drives going.

Yup... It's just OK getting exposed when they play any team with a tad bit of D.
I do think OK will win by 2 TDs, but I hope I'm wrong.
Well I thought OK would blow Texas's doors off in the RRSO and Texas won so I have some confidence.

I did too.
Not sure OK would have the two FGs had Boyd not helped them with penalties. Boyd did have a nice PBU at the end of that last OK drive to redeem himself a little.
