Todd Mcshay's ESPN Insider "Way-too-early 2017 Mock Draft" is now posted. Draft order is based on Football Outsider's record projections.

Cleveland Browns headline Todd McShay's way-too-early 2017 mock draft - NFL draft

Players of note:

1. Cleveland Browns - Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson - for ACAMP
2. San Francisco 49ers - Brad Kaaya, QB, Miami (FL) - opponent
8. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, USC - gross
15. Atlanta Falcons - Malik McDowell, DT, Michigan State
18. San Diego Chargers - Mike McGlinchey, OT, Notre Dame*

McGlinchey, who's the cousin of Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan, thrived in his first full-time season as a starter at right tackle last year. And with Ronnie Stanley gone, he'll take over the left tackle role in 2016, putting his natural athleticism and 6-foot-7½ frame to good use.

22. Minnesota Vikings - Zach Banner, OT, USC - gross
24. Baltimore Ravens - Christian McCaffrey, RB, Stanford - would be nice if he left early

Players to be considered:
Adoree' Jackson, FullersToast, USC*

1. Cleveland Browns - Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson - for ACAMP

That's why you don't waste a pick on a QB in this past draft!!!! Who do they have us getting with the Eagles pick??

Assuming RG3 does not turn his career around: A first round combo of the top QB (Watson or whoever) AND Leonard Fournette makes this acamp a happy acamp.

Honestly though, a revitalized RG3, Fournette and a stud at another position is an even bigger dream scenario imo, more value.

Fournette going at 4 to the Dolphins.

6. Cleveland Browns*

Tim Williams, OLB, Alabama

Browns fans will spend much of the 2016 season cheering against the Eagles, as they own Philly's first-round pick in 2017 as part of the Carson Wentz trade. Williams decided to return to school after racking up 10.5 sacks in 15 games as a junior. He wins with power, relentlessness and first-step quickness off the edge.

Of course we want the Eagles to lose this year... lol

I want Fournette more than just about any player I can think of currently, even in the pass happy world we live in. Cleveland addressed a number of holes in the draft, the glaring holes left (assuming RG34 fails) are both in the offensive backfield... have to get a running back within the next calendar year also.

Todd McShay has released an ESPN Insider article with the top players at each position for the 2017 NFL Draft.

Todd McShay's top players at every position for 2017 NFL draft - Clemson's Deshaun Watson, LSU's Leonard Fournette, Alabama's Jonathan Allen

Players of Note:
Offensive Line:
2. Quenton Nelson - Grade: 89; tough with good technique, projects as Day 1 NFL starter
3. Mike McGlinchey - Grade: 88; projects him as an NFL right tackle, with tools to develop into effective starter

Defensive End:
7. Isaac Rochell - Grade: 85; strong in the run game, average burst and bend, but more effective pass rusher than stats might indicate

Defensive Tackle:
10. Jarron Jones - Grade: 68; big upside at multiple positions, but questionable durability and pass rush

Cornerback:
7. Cole Luke - Grade: 83; good skills, work ethic, and bloodlines, but 2 Short

Safety:
7. Max Redfield - Grade: 72; good athlete with coverage limitations, but plenty of time to work on his craft independently before the draft; some character red flags

My bad, it showed a time stamp from this morning when I checked ESPN and thought I would put it here.

I'll see myself out.

Hopefully by year's end Hunter and Morgan, maybe Kizer put themselves there too and the others move up the ranks.

I bet you Folston has a big year with our great line and the fact that I'm sure he's crazy hungry after the year off with injury, and gets into top 10 or 5 by season's end. Hard to say with Adams and Dex taking snaps too. Hunter could certainly end up in the top 10. Kizer and/or Zaire should end up in the top list for QB's as well. One of our LB's might get in there too. LETS HOPE!

Mel Kiper Jr. has released his ESPN Insider Preseason 2017 Big Board Draftapalooza.

Mel Kiper Preseason NFL draft 2017 Big Board - NFL prospects, scouting, Tim Williams of Alabama Crimson Tide

Big Board Top 25:
15. Quenton Nelson: You enjoy watching guards maul people? So does Mel! Notes the rarity of a redshirt Sophomore hitting the list, and mentions that the offensive line is loaded.

22. Mike McGlinchey: Massive athlete that looks like a tight end. Compares transition to Stanley's from RT to LT, and includes heads up that Stanley was first tackle drafted in 2016.

I think it's fair to say these two players will dominate all draft talk for the year, barring injury. The only question will be how high can each rise.

Mel then went the extra mile and rated the 10 at each position in another ESPN insider article, broken down by seniors and underclassmen.

NFL draft 2017 - Top 10 prospects across every position Mel Kiper

McGlinchey is # 3 underclassmen at tackle.
Nelson is # 1 underclassmen at guard.
Rochell is # 4 senior defensive end.
Jones is # 3 senior defensive tackle.
Morgan is # 4 underclassmen at inside linebacker (hey now!)
Luke is # 5 senior corner back.

RS Sophomore guard in the top half of the first round is about the highest praise Q could possible receieve.

Pete Fiutak at collegefootballnews.com releases his WAY TOO EARLY NFL mock draft. (Freebie)

2017 Way-Too-Early NFL Mock Draft | College Football News

Players of note and their draft position:

1. Cleveland Browns

QB DeShone Kizer, Notre Dame (Jr.)

It’s this simple – Kizer has 6-4, 230-pound size and looks the part a bit better than Deshaun Watson, but there’s no wrong answer. The arm strength is peerless, the mobility is terrific, and the rest of the tools are all there for Kizer to look like the next big quarterback thing.

16. Tennessee Titans

OT Mike McGlinchey, Notre Dame (Jr.)

Take your right tackle for the other side of Taylor Lewan, move Jack Conklin to guard – or at least have the option to do it – and now you have the bones of a potentially dominant line for Marcus Mariota and Derrick Henry to work behind.

27. Seattle Seahawks

DT Jarron Jones, Notre Dame

Pair him next to Jarran Reed and the Seahawk interior would be a brick wall for a decade. This might be a wee bit high for Jones, and he might be more of a rock than an interior pass rusher, but Seattle does what Seattle does – and it almost always works.

I do know that the Browns really are in need of some QBs. Injury after injury - personally, I was hoping that RG III was going to work out.

2017 NFL Draft

Some other draft analyst have Nelson in the first round.

So a 2-3 team has 4 potential draft eligible first round picks...sigh

I don't see Jarron Jones going in the first though. 3rd I can see. And he will play in the NFL for a while, simply because he has a very unique trait. He has a knack of blocking PAT's and FG's.

Who was it during Jones red shirt freshman year that said he would block the most kicks in ND history? Kudos to them.

We can't run the ball, but two of our OL are supposed to go in the 1st round. Add in the fact that we have one of the best passing attacks in the country....we have a coaching or play calling issue on the offensive side of the ball.

Jonathan Allen??? Where does he have Myles Garrett going now?? Everything else I've read has the Browns all in on Garrett currently.
