Nice win for the basketball team. With Farrell out Gibbs is going to need to step up. In reading local articles DJ Harvey will be getting some opportunities as well.

A win on the road in the ACC I'll take it any way this team can get it.

Did not catch the game, but was astonished Irish could win there without 2 leading scorers and senior experience.
Brey somehow is able to get the most with the least, the best in college BB, for many years. The frustration at times is when the expectations are raised, the Irish often come up short.
Hope they can steal a few more, but without Bonzie, this will probably be a year of "what if.....?"

Yep. Bret seems to thrive in the under dog mentality. Not only is he a hell of a x and o guy but he's a master motivator. Still for sure the most underrated coach in America by far.

Agree, and he's a perfect fit at ND.

Can't be too long before ND loses both him and Muffet. Hope there is a Plan B on the shelf(Neile Ivey for WBB ?, ?? for MBB). We've learned painfully that hasn't been the case with the football coaching.

Brey isn’t leaving anytime soon. He has everything here now. He just got a brand practice facility. He is starting recruiting the top players even more now. He loves this school.

He’s not leaving

Not really sure where either of them would go? Next time they go anywhere is down south when they retire.

That was really what I was referring to...their retirements. Yeah, maybe not next year, but really, how long ya gonna hang around? Hope they do, just wonder why they do.

Brey is only 58 years old he isn’t leaving anytime soon. He has a long way to go

So, with many supposed years ahead of him, I'd look out that someone like Duke goes after him when Coack K rolls out. Realistically can't see where ND would be a legit BB champ.

Every year we talk about brey going to duke after coach K leaves. It’s hard to say what he would wanna do. I hope he wouldn’t wanna leave but idk. I mean he started there as an assistant but he’s been here 18 years and you would think he would wanna finish his career here.

Also we just got 4 top 100 recruits this past recruiting cycle and juwan Durham who was a top 50 recruit 2 years ago. That’s 5 top of 100 players. Things are changing in recruiting for us. Will it be enough to win a championship? Idk I hope so.

Also we are really high on 2020 player hunter dickinson who is from Dematha he is top 15 player and a center who we never get so

Mike Brey is Notre Dame basketball at this point. The odds of him leaving for greener pastures is 10000:1 in my opinion.

Notre Dame was extremely close to a national title in 2015. They can win a title here. Do I have a bunch of head-scratching questions for the program? Yup. But it's literally never been a better time to be a Notre Dame basketball coach.

Farrell sounds like he might miss another game or two after GT. I am liking the what we are seeing - all these guys who thought they would get a handful of minutes are out there needing to make an impact. Overcoming such a bad shooting performance and willing their way to a win was so straight up balls - most exciting game since, well, Wichita State. Then NCST beats Duke (soundly) - what a great day of CBB.

Will be interesting to see how they shoot at GT - hope that was a Carrier Dome effect more than a road sign. I like the rotation of Bigs and look for them all to play better as they settle in. Burns as a late game board monster/defender is so money since he looks cool as ice on the FT line - really helps in a close game vs. fearing like hell Torres ends up on the line. All those top talent ACC kids don't like being banged around by no-talent no names - should be fun.

Brey isn't going anywhere, neither is Muffet. They are really at their best when they get their back against the wall.

Ok, Whats going on with DJ Harvey's shorts? Jordan was the only dude that could pull off the short shorts look and that was a stretch, and thats bc I'm old and never knew better back then..

After we pull even, Austin Torres helps GT with a 6-0 run on his own. I'm sure he's a good kid, and a hustle kid, but he has no business playing extended minutes, even on a strapped team.

Ugly ass lose but we just can’t score. The only way we are gonna win games is if we keep the opponent under 50

At least Harvey got to see the ball go in the hoop.

Good effort. Djogo saw some good minutes, as did Mooney.

With Farrell we probably win that game, and it's a team that just beat Miami.

I don't think I play Farrell Saturday even if he wants to. Louisville and Clemson are games we can win.

Ya we need Farrell 100%.

Like I said before we just can’t score without Farrell and bonzie. The only way we win Saturday which will take a miracle is holding them to 50 pts. But we are home and Harvey plays way better at home. And we will have the crowd too hopefully

Good lord, is the new basketball construction that started on top of an Indian burial ground?

I was at the game, the whole team looked like hot garbage. Josh Okogie on the other hand looked nice.

If this was a 3 week injury to Bonzie instead of the end of the season, this team would be absolutely terrifying come tournament time. When we add Farrell back, we are going to be really tough.

Let’s win this!
