I think it is kind of the same debate from that year though, Henry is more athletic than Mauk at this point. Then Eason is a legacy while Gunner had ties to the program. He is more the prostyle type as well, but either would fit in well and have the potential to be great.

I would rename this the "2016 QB Thread"
There's a lot more guys as possibilities than Henry and Eason. If Eason isn't convinced that ND is a good schematic fit for him we could end up not being in that race at all. There's Pass, Haskins, Patterson, Costello, Gaines etc that are deserve a little debate as well.

Probably want need a poll, though, if we're going to add all 2016 QBs to the discussion since more will be added later on.

Who would I rather have enrolled and all in? Probably a coin flip, but maybe Henry. But if you're talking about who would I rather get a commit from right now it's definitely Eason. On one hand, you'd be landing a Cali QB where you're going to have to hold off and battle slimy Jim Mora, etc. all the way to NSD. On the other hand, you can grab a 5
talent who's a legacy and would be a leader of the class.
I always prefer an offense with a mobile QB who can be a playmaker but considering we absolutely 100% cannot afford to miss on '16 if we do in fact pass in '15 then give me Eason. I'm not prepared to accept the inherent risk that comes with Henry if we skip a QB this year.

That about sums it up. However, I think Henry's ceiling is considerably higher and he might be insanely productive in college. It's really hard to walk away from that, just wish he was from Illinois or Ohio.

Personally would take Henry, but if either he or Eason want to commit, you take it and never look back.

dont forget Chris Petersen at UW. He could get on a roll with the Huskies in 2015 and generate alot of buzz in the north west. I would say they will end up a contender for Eason as well if he wants to stay close to home.

I think they have a preference however if Eason wanted to commit and they were sold he is going to be solid throughout then I would assume they take the commitment and go from there. I honestly believe Henry is at the top of the board but I don't think they will turn Pass or Eason away if one of them wanted to commit now.
