Irish247 is reporting that even if we miss on all 3 S's currently on the board we most likely won't be going after another, ND isnt going to take a player just to have a body. If their is a spot it likely goes to Jalen Julius (Dexter Williams teammate) and he's expressed wanting to play with Decter if that's the case.

I sorta disagree with most/all of this.

What are the chances they miss on all 3?

I don't know but they seem fairly confident Meadors heads to UCLA and Reid to Stanford with Farrar being our best shot if we go all out down the stretch. Keep in mind all of this is without any info on how Reid's OV is going.

Why am I just finding out that we didn't offer this kid...

Beau Hoge, Merril's son (Tristen's cousin)

Probably because NOBODY did except BYU! Talk about under the radar. He has a howitzer for an arm and Russel Wilson-like escapability.

I do not understand recruiting.

First of all, I might be wrong here, but I'm like 95% sure I heard Jalen Julius can't qualify so I don't even know why they're bringing his name up as a spot filler. Maybe I'm off here though because I wasn't paying that close attention.

Second, I'm 98% sure that we're looking at contingency plans at safety. Not saying that'll go anywhere but it's absolutely a scenario where they could be interested in taking a "body." I know they're actively evaluating other prospects right now.

I do not understand recruiting.

Because first we had Blake Barnett then we had Brandon Wimbush. What you are watching are highlights - those can be very deceiving. Many times, a players game film can paint a much different picture.

But no offers besides BYU? Makes no sense. That film is fun to watch. Every kid's highlights paint him as better than he is.

Saw a Loy tweet that we offered current Michigan State RB Abdul Adams. Anyone got anything to supplement this? IDK If this is recent or not. Adams has been committed since Nov.

He's a 2016 recruit. Also, he's not committed to Michigan State.

With signing day around the corner, which players are we actually optimistic to sign?

Will signing day net Williams, Reid, ESB? I don't remember a year recently in which we had to wait and see who signs on this many players. I could be wrong though ...

At least Williams and ESB. Good chance at Reid and if not him then Farrar. If neither of these we will get Jalen Julius

Flex and ESB are locks at this point. Reid is looking better and better and his visit put us in a prime spot to land him. It'll be interesting once Buncom commits to Stanford. That should give us the edge.

I know Reid is quicker but for Safety, don't be want Farrar for the bigger body type?

I am hoping for ESB, Williams, & Farrar

Farrar reminds me of a lesser Bilal. Personally, I would rather have Reid. He seems to be more of a traditional safety and that is something we apparently are lacking on our roster at the moment.

Does anyone else feel like we might end this recruiting cycle like this?
