Glad to see Hayes was made a priority. Gotta stay on the kids who second guess early decisions. The thing I do like about how Hayes has handled his recruiting process is that when he does question his decision, he concludes that ND is the best option. Still the way recruiting goes, and especially now, until I see them in uniform on a fall Saturday, I am not counting anything. Even then...

I would assume with some confidence that they are, considering how much they wanted him from the start. However, when kids drop ND or they de-commit the staff seems to give them a cooling off period and try to re-enter the recruitment down the road. So I wouldn't be surprised if his name surfaces down the road as taking an official but right now probably focusing efforts elsewhere. Also if we don't get an elite guy and it looks like we may at another position Rb may end up being a scratch. Not saying it will happen but it is an option.

On 2014, I'll have some good stuff on the running back situation, including a name that many will be excited about. Not a five-star, but a very impressive back that I have in my "expert rankings" Top 247 list. He spoke to running backs coach Tony Alford this week and I'll have full details from that conversation in an interview with the back. That may actually come out tomorrow.

I'm gonna guess Dalvin Cook. Probably wrong by whatevs

He also hyped up this weeks Tunnell Vision a lot so we'll see how that is.

There is always a 'mystery' recruit, or a high profile kid who 'is higher on ND than anyone thinks', or anything else like that. It's how they get hits and subscriptions. I don't put much credence into any of that.

How many of the historical 'mystery' guys or high profile kids that they say ND has a shot at despite no other evidence to support it have worked out?

Jake Brown of II spoke to Kammy Delp last night. Not much has changed in our recruitment of him. We are communicating but via his coach. He expects a member of the staff to watch him play during our bye week. Won't be making a decision until January so we have plenty of time to get involved.

The "secret rb" is Bo Scar. When the post you are questioning came out it was because some other rb said he was going to visit or sometihng so loy posted that "he is still out there".

However, it was later reported that it was Bo.

Was reading mind of mike on rivals and this kids name came up as deciding between Northwestern and Stanford and thought I'd do some research. Never got an ND offer it looks like. Anybody know anything?

Dickerson is a TE in the same mold of Luatua. Luatua is just better. Personally I probably would have taken Dickerson over Weishar despite their different skill sets but that's JMO.

After watching those highlights I liked him better as an OLB. He looked good setting or coming off the edge.
