I don't know if it's just me, but RB is a position where I'm totally comfortable taking 3* guys with upside and seeing what happens. RB is, in my opinion, the least important position in the offense and a good offensive line can make average backs look great.

LaMichael James was a 3*/very low 4* on the services. Dion Lewis was a 3*. Evan Royster was a 3* and just set the PSU rushing record. Mark Ingram was a 3* on a lot of places. The list goes on and on. Unlike the OL, where it is just simply very difficult to project from one level to the next, the RB discrepancies are mostly a product of the fact that RB production is very dependent on the rest of the team. No RB can pick up big games if there is no blocking; whereas Old Man Mike could probably run for 100 yards a game if he had the New York Jets blocking for him and he played MAC competition.

And the best part? You really only play 1 or 2 RBs... so there isn't a huge need to load up. So while depth is a valid concern, I don't think there is a huge need to panic with the fact that we will have Cierre, GAIII and Cam (and hopefully another healthy Cam...) on the roster in 2012 giving us 4 guys; 3 of which are 4* players. So assuming we take 2/3 RBs this year that will give 6/7 guys... I'd wager that at least 2 of them will have the ability to be productive regardless of how highly touted they are coming out of HS.

THIS POST NEEDS WAY MORE PANIC.

Texas has 8 150 recruits and FSU has 7 150 recruits at this moment including #1 and #10 overall. Texas is to be excpected, but FSU is rolling.

This is why I don't understand starting a series with Texas, Oklahoma, and Miami. We're going to have an impossible future schedule.

Perkins, Harrell, and Prosise are all on the cusp with 79s. Decker's a 78, Greenberry and Baratti 77s.

FSU is loading up on DE. 3 of the top 10 DEs, including #1. I guess the Aaron Lynch saga pissed them off/motivated them, lol.

I wonder why Perkins got docked.... He was an 80 yesterday.

Yeah, him and Harrel both went down a point. So did Noor Davis. I'm surprised to see Perkins go down when his sock has been doing nothing but soaring recently. But considering he is still a 4*, it was an extremely marginal downgrade... or maybe even a typo. I'm noticing TONS of typos for guys outside of the 150 right now.

Fun fact of the day: James Ross is actually graded a smidgen lower than Joe Bolden at ILB. Both are 4*s. I hope we didn't make a big mistake there...

hahhaa - F*$# ESPN, we got 3
Darby
Shep
Ferg

We only have 3, but if you look at the teams we play in the future (Texas, Stanford, Michigan, USC, Oklahoma) they all have about the same as us at this point (With the exception of Texas, who's doing awesome in recrtuiting).

I know the star-rating system is far from scientific, but how does this impact our current commits?

Ferguson and Harrell are probably considered 4-stars now. Not sure if Baratti or Decker will be downgraded.

GD I owe LAX a beer!

On I side note...I've been saying Tracy Howard is the best corner in the country and ESPN agree with me!

Greenberry as the #83 WR is inconceivable.

I also concur that Darby and Sheppard should be ahead of Richardson.

You know the old saying, "You are the company you keep"?

I dont know if I would want to be tied to ESPN after looking at this 150. As listed, all other scouting services vary drastically from ESPN right now.
