We'll be fine with Crist being a senior that year, he'll have a couple years under his belt by the time that game (Oklahoma) comes along.

this is the way i look at it ...........

2011

Sept. 3 — South Florida ~ should be an easy win, well not easy, but i can see us rack up some points
Sept. 10 — at Michigan ~ another tough year vs Shoelace, but hopefully we pull through next year in the 4th Q, toss up
Sept. 17 — Michigan State ~ we had them this year, but we'll get them next year, a win
Sept. 24 — at Pittsburgh ~ tough game vs Graham/Lewis, toss up
Oct. 1 — at Purdue ~ another tough game, but we should have it in the bag, a win
Oct. 8 — Air Force ~ should be an easy win, well not easy, but i can see us rack up some points
Oct. 15 — Open Date
Oct. 22 — USC ~ the Barkley/Crist battle starts this year, but next year part II should be a hell of a game. toss up
Oct. 29 — Navy ~ we will control navy once again ...... a win
Nov. 5 — at Wake Forest ~ should be an easy win, well not easy, but i can see us rack up some points
Nov. 12 — Maryland (at FedEx Field, Landover, Md.) ~ fun game to see with Wilson, but im looking at a win
Nov. 19 — Boston College ~ just like the blow out this year, it will be the samething next year, a win
Nov. 26 — at Stanford ~ this game depends on Luck, if he leaves for the NFL this year, it's a win for us. If he stays probably a loss.

As much as i would love to see ND go 12-0, im guessing ND will finish 9-3/10-2 easy.

2012

Sept. 1 — Navy (at Dublin, Ireland) ~ another pretty fun but easy win for us.
Sept. 8 — Purdue ~ sad but toss up, with a slight edge for us
Sept. 15 — at Michigan State ~ sad but toss up, with a slight edge for us
Sept. 22 — Michigan ~ TOUGH GAME ! toss up
Sept. 29 — Open Date
Oct. 6 — Miami (at Soldier Field, Chicago) ~ TOUGH GAME ! toss up
Oct. 13 — Stanford ~ doubt Luck will still be at stanford for his senior year, so we should win this.
Oct. 20 — BYU ~ we might give up a ton of passing yards, but we should win this.
Oct. 27 — at Oklahoma ~ TOUGH GAME ! toss up
Nov. 3 — Pittsburgh ~ sad but toss up, with a slight edge for us
Nov. 10 — at Boston College ~ sad but toss up, with a slight edge for us
Nov. 17 — Wake Forest ~ another pretty fun but easy win for us.
Nov. 24 — at USC ~ TOUGH GAME ! toss up

i know i have alot of toss ups, but you just never know how the ND defense is going to do with are rivalary games (Pitt, BC, Purd, & Mich St.) i think some of are Rivals will be easier this year like Navy & Stanford. WF and BYU should be some good wins also, that right there is 8 games. We very well could go 4-4, but IMO i think we'll finish 6-2 or 7-1. are Tough games are going to be hell (Miami, Okla., USC, Mich.), we very well could go 0-4, but im guessing we'll finish 2-2. So we'll end the season with a 8-4/ 9-3 record. But since Crist will be a senior this year and will have tons of expereince under his belt he could take us to an even better record like 10-2/11-1. Lets PRAY :D

I can't wait to see how 2012 plays out.

But 2011 looks like manageable. I'm thinking like 10 wins.

2012 is a ridiculous schedule, not sure why ND would do that.

That would definately put us into the NC with an undefeated season regardless of how anyone else does.

Playing Navy right off the bat in 2012. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing. Seeing the triple option right away might be tricky but on the other hand we will have plenty of time to prepare for it.

And as most others have mentioned the 2012 schedule as a whole is brutal. Gives us an opportunity to turn some heads.

I think theres a lot of uncertainty about 2012. We'll have a lot of new faces that will have to develop during 2011

I think that's a good thing. The team will have plenty of time to prep for the option, plus we should be healthy. Interesting opener though.

What happened to having to play 3 Big East teams each year? Do we have some sort of alliance with the ACC now?

Man thats killer.

But can we please put the triple option crap to rest? We beat Navy for a dogs age and suddenly, since we had no defense the last little while, its a scary thing? Triple option is a gimmick, if it was so effective don't you think almost everyone would be running it?

You will see after we pound the **** out of Navy this week.

2012 would be Dayne 5th year year of eligibility, since he red shirted is frosh year. So there is a chance that he will be our QB, which would be huge with that schedule.

My assumption that 2011 is the year Notre Dame goes back to winning BCS Bowl games

I don't blame anyone for leaving early. If you think you'll get picked high, then go for it. I give more credit to the guys that stay.

at Oklahoma is going to be tough, but teams like Kansas, Missouri, Iowa St etc...etc...play there every year, they might not win hahaha but if they can go in there each year and play, so can ND ! hopefully will end on a good outcome though. We would most likely be playing against either Drew Allen or Blake Bell, cause i don't see Landry Jones playing after his Junior year in (2011). Both are top pocket type of passers. i hope Crist stays for his senior year !!

at USC, well we are used to southern cali fans at the coliseum already ......... but the team in general is always a tough team to beat.

in Chicago at Soldier field for Miami (fla) ~ should be sick ! This is a very interesting game cause i think we have a great chance at beating them. Jacory Harris is a junior this year, so by the time 2012 comes along Harris will already be in the NFL or some other league. Which leaves 195 pound Alonzo Highsmith or 183 pound Stephen Morris to be there QB, unless they pick up some other high QB recuit to play us. and both those QB's are noooooooo Shoelace Robinson.

and we have Michigan at home ......... Shoelace Robinson is scary as a sophomore i wonder how scary he is going to be as a junior and senior. hopefully we can pick up some skillful FAST players on defense.

The 2012 schedule is the typical difficulty of ND's past seasons. And by past I'm talking way past like the good ol' day schedules.

I like it. Kelly feels that he will have a team that can beat anyone by 2012. He is taking the bull by the horns. Like the old WWII saying "Damn the torpedos!"
